I got told after it had been done Was just lucky timing for me. I left them to do their job, came back later when it was still wet, found a nail and scribed away You could always use a fat nikko pen and sign your name on your slab after it's set. That was going to be my plan. Wish I had something more inspiring to write. Might save that for a cornerstone brick or something Building at Warner Lakes in sunny Queensland. How long did it take for the slab to dry/harden looks like they took the border boards away quickly? Congrats! Woohoo! We can both have slab parties! haha. They poured mine first thing in the morning, and bracing was removed by early afternoon - so it doesn't take too long to hold shape. I wouldn't walk on it / put too much pressure on it until the next day though Building at Warner Lakes in sunny Queensland. Building with Bold Properties. The builder is working full steam ahead - so stay tuned this week because there *will* be lots of updates and photos More excitement to come Building at Warner Lakes in sunny Queensland. Power cables/phone line were installed sometime during last week, but no meterbox yet. Found 3 work boot prints left in our alfresco section of the slab, will have to get the builder to sort that out as the builder doesn`t provide any covering(tiles) to the alfresco section of the slab. Re: Dave's Warner Lakes Mansion - * I HAVE A FRAME! :D * 72Dec 14, 2010 7:36 pm And then there were roof trusses Looks like it's still full steam ahead! I've got roof trusses! woohoo! Lets get into the picfest! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ahh the front of the house Looking much better with a roof structure of some form! OH, and I'm getting used to this type of 'abstract' garden variety. Should I keep it? Would save on mowing time? A nice plug for BOLD there. They've been absolutely fantastic builders so far! Woo! My little castle on the hill! Will be good to have that elevation - hopefully the friendly neighbours on the lower lots don't build two story mansions haha! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The living/family room area, looking from the kitchen out towards the patio. I'm happy with the 2550mm ceiling height - works perfectly Hooray!! The house down below there is another BOLD property. The only two houses that have started in the entire area - that's pretty impressive Looking forward to meeting all of my neighbours soon! (Although I've met a whole bunch of them already when we camped out together to get the land!!) That's all for now folks! Hope you're enjoying the journey. I'll keep you updated! Found out my frame was delivered yesterday/or early today. Waiting for it to go up now! Hopefully by end of this week! Congrats on having your frame delivered! Won't be long for you! Yes, they have been very quick! I'm stoked! It's been quiet on the home front for the past two days - but gutters and tiles are expected sometime next week. It's going to sit over Christmas like that (to avoid theft and damage) with regular security patrols over the break, then full steam ahead again sometime in mid January. Exciting! Just a few remaining pieces for the roof trusses to be fitted. Hats off to builder for getting it up,they have been good and fast so far. On a even better note,we did our carpet selection on the 13/12 and the carpet guy let slip that he has been told to have the carpet ready for a april installation,he then went on to say that with our builder that the carpet is generally the last thing to go down before PCI and then handover! Fingers crossed for a may handover! Re: Dave's Warner Lakes Mansion - * Roof Truss PICFEST * 78Dec 21, 2010 6:41 pm A roof for Christmas! Spent the last few days having a mini-holiday in Byron Bay (bliss!!!), but meanwhile Bold have been busy working on my house! My wonderful parents snapped some photos of the action while I was away. So here we go! Gutters, and Roof tiles! You have tiles already! My frame and trusses went up in 1 day on friday and windows were delivered too! Windows went in on monday. I went past my place at 4:30pm on tues and caught the brickies (2 brickies and a young bloke) starting their utes to leave, so i quickly cornered one and he was nice and answered my questions. Said a avg single story house(mine is 20.0 sq) should take 10 working days but he hadn`t done one like mine before. He also said they will be only taking xmas/boxing day and the 2 pub hols off and new yrs pub hol too. Excellent i said and let him go home! I was dreading the whole 5 week shut down but it seems like my builder is going full steam throughout xmas/new yr. I`m relieved to say the least! Also the brickies work seemed quite good to my eyes as they had completed... i would say about 1/8 of the house in total.
