Hi all,
We are currently at the 'lock-up' stage and one of the issues we have is the colour of the gutter and fascia. During pre-start we chose all our colours and styles based exactly on the Display home (I know, not very original) purely to make the whole process easier. Well the gutters and fascia have been painted and we reckon the colour is wrong. We informed the builder as to the incorrect colour and also mentioned that under the fascia the paint was so thin that in some areas there was evidence of silver being the metal of the fascia. There response was:
(quote) "sorry to be the bearer of bad news but what has been used on the fascia is [colour] and it has had its final coat"
(quote)"Lastly, I have got the supervisor to check the paint to the gutters and that is unfortunately the final coat."
There excuse is that they used a different brand of paint for the display home and have done there best in matching for our house. What do you think (below)?

Unfortunately that colour green does not sit well with us - it is the biggest eye sore, you can see it from blocks away!
