Did you upgrade on your tiles ... they look REALLY nice compared to what we got to chose from What colour is your front and garage door? Re: Emma's build! Colour selection pics pg 2 :D 24Aug 25, 2010 4:26 pm Hi Pebbles! We didn't upgrade the tiles, perhaps they have changed the selections? Front door and garage door are in Jasper. Colour selection pics pg 2 :D 31Aug 26, 2010 3:52 pm Oh and North is to the back left side of the house. I have no idea about the passive solar stuff. Colour selection pics and updated plans p 32Aug 26, 2010 4:17 pm there you go, brilliant! the message board size is about half what you just uploaded, but I think plans deserve the biggest size! your roof line is very fancypants..lots of nice lines. expensive looking. nice your bedrom is facing winter sun, you can curl up with a book (if the headboard wall has a window..cant remember!! ha ha. brain like a goldfish) on the bed and catch some zzzzz at 2pm! Re: Emma's build! Colour selection pics and updated plans p 33Aug 26, 2010 4:20 pm Thanks Kiwi!! It actually isn't expensive really, compared to most other builders. Hallmark seem to do nice, fairly budget but still very practical homes. The expensive items are the things we upgraded on (underroof patio, ducted air con, stone benchtops, kitchen layout). I have no idea what nice rooflines are to be honest. I can't see my plans now??? Colour selection pics and updated plans p 34Aug 27, 2010 7:05 am rooflines with valleys etc are suppose to give the house some 'wow' and you have a few I can see the plan...ha ha, that is all that matters. I do see you have NO windows on that north wall in bedroom,is that right? even a long high up one would give you some winter sun and it would go down the hall all the way to the garage can you add one? you bed could go under it, or have 2 side windows 600 x 2100 either side of bed to get light and warmth in in winter Re: Emma's build! Colour selection pics and updated plans p 35Aug 27, 2010 7:09 am ps that is solar passive stuff! ha ha Re: Emma's build! Colour selection pics and updated plans p 36Aug 27, 2010 9:55 am Lovely plan! I really love the kitchen ... to THIS day I don't know WHY I picked the kitchen I did, don't get me wrong, I LOVE it now but I wish we had the dwarf wall on our kitchen bench. It's the only thing in my house that annoys me ... I hate sitting down to eat with a big mess on the bench. Are you turning the rumpus or lounge into a media room? Did you upgrade the cavity sliding doors?... I love those ANYWAY ... the Flair range from HM is great ... we made a few changes also but overall we're really happy with them Who is your SS? emlet01 Hi Pebbles! We didn't upgrade the tiles, perhaps they have changed the selections? Well of course they did When we went into Be@umont to check our tiles the sales assistant told us that the line had been discontinued and we'd have to pick another YAAAAAY ... then after checking she told us that we were VERY lucky ... our tiles had already been put on hold for us BOOOOOOOOOOOO Very happy with the way it all turned out though Re: Emma's build! Colour selection pics and updated plans p 37Aug 27, 2010 5:41 pm Thanks Kiwi! Will have to float the moving the window idea to DH. Pebbles, the rumpus will be the girls toy room. Lucky girls hey! They are having bedrooms 3 and 4 (painted pink of course!), so their bedrooms will open out to the toy room. The front living room will be the theatre room, already looking out for some theatre chairs! I love your tiles, so I think it is good you didn't change your mind! I don't know who our SS is yet, we are still waiting on land to settle - 17th September!!! Oh and DH just put the deposit on THE SHED today....7 bays of pure manliness. Can't wait to have all his car crap out of my house and in a shed!!!!! Plus I can send him down to the shed when he is driving me bananas LOL Emma Building on an acre at Teviot Downs, Brisbane Building through Hallmark - Flair 253 with a few changes Mother of two gorgeous girls Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37178 Re: Emma's build! Colour selection pics and updated plans p 38Aug 29, 2010 10:20 am Your selections are gorgeous I see you went for your white kitchen Re: Emma's build! Colour selection pics and updated plans p 39Aug 30, 2010 5:55 am Hi Jessie, actually I didn't go for the white kitchen. The big swatch is the wall colour (Astor White), the white slab is the caesarstone and the Formica swatch in the browny/fawny colour is the cupboards. I was so torn whether or not to do white I just couldn't do it and regret it later. We have a different shade timber look laminate at the moment and it is so forgiving and never looks smudgy so I went with timber again but in a different shade. I hope it works!!! Colour selection pics and updated plans p 40Aug 31, 2010 3:00 pm Very excited! I have just sent away the last of our changes to our builder that were from our colour selection appointment, including upgrading to a Jasper colorbond roof!!! I liked the Mallee tiles but the whole colorbond attraction just wouldn't leave me alone. So excited!! I hope my roof looks as sexy as Deemaree's does hahahaha Emma Building on an acre at Teviot Downs, Brisbane Building through Hallmark - Flair 253 with a few changes Mother of two gorgeous girls Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37178 i would not be signing anything on the day read your contract about when builder submits final invoice generally, have to meet builder within 7 days of receiving final… 1 4976 We hired Darbecca to do every stage inspection, and I strongly recommend them to anyone that asks me.
