Well thought I had hung around the forums enough it is now time to start my own little thread!

Hi Everyone! ::lol::

We are building a Hartley 341 with DFH. This is the first home that we have built but not the first time we have owned a house.

We bought the land last year and that has settled in March and we paid our initial deposit in early Jan to DFH after falling in love with the Hartley after many years off and on again looking at display houses and will we, wont we'ing about building. We signed our contract in April and have our colour selection on the 9th of June (4 more sleeps but who's counting!! :D ) Finance was fully approved on Friday. So far we have found DFH excellent to deal with. Just can't wait to colours selection over and done with, final paperwork done and head of to site start!

We have made a couple of changes to the floor plan mainly adding and taking away internal doors and increasing the width of the garage. Floor plan attached :-)

Nice Floorplan ... Where abouts are you building?

A friend of mine built with Dennis Family Homes ... Lovely House, not sure about how that actually went with the whole build, but came out looking absolutely beautiful

Well because you all need to know!!! It is 3 sleeps till colour consultation, but who's counting! :z: :z: :z: ME!!! Yes a bit excited about this possibly because we have been waiting for so long and I just want to get the colours committed to paper that have been floating around in my head before I go and totally change my mind!!

Also forgot to add that we are planning a pool as well. We have chosen a Narellan Pool Maderia 8. It looks something like this... (Hopefully) (minus the trees...you get the drift) :D

Hi Herbiecat,
Good luck with your colours. Like the pool. Will be nice on hot days.
We do our colours on the 24th June. We have most of them picked out already so hope that makes it easier.

Kay

Thanks Kaytee. I thinnk we have most of ours picked out too. Just need to run them past someone who actually knows about colours (as opposed to me who knows nothing!) to make sure they will work! Seems like it has taken forever to get here!!

One more sleep to go!!! Yay! :D :D :D :D :D

On another note had a convo with my lovely admin person yesterday and she was saying that they had already started the building permit process and as soon as the colours are done and received by her everything will be sent off for developers approval. That's good!! :D :D
