Oh yeah solar panels... Yeap. Doing after HO. What specials they have at the home show? I would go but have an active tike that just makes it too hard.
I'm looking at artficial lawns, alfresco blinds, internal blinds, liquid limestone, lighting specials/ discount if you can keep an eye out for me if you don't mind. If not that's ok too.
If easier, whatever is on your list.

Duke...we r just couple of weeks apart n hence looking at similar things.
There were ard 15+ solar panels, 3 window treatments, liq lime, LEDs, water filtlers n more. we've arranged onsite inspection with a few n if we get a good deal I'll surely let u know.
BTW, Carpet Call was one of the exhibits, n we got a 160 * 230 plush rug for $300, usually $499.they quoted $350, but negotiated for 300. they r offering the home show discount in cannington shop till wed , grab a bargain. will post a pic tonite.

Signed ages ago like last year. That's why if you passed the doc I posted, you get a further $300 discount. Is that price what she come up with or did you haggle further reduction?

No further discount on an initial quote? Or not even throwing in something extra for free? That's harsh. Have you told them you've got another quote that you're seriously considering and if they drop the price you'll sign up with them there and then rather than thinking about it for longer. It usually works for me, I have found sales reps drop the price considerably when they think they are serioulsy about to lose their sale. She might be on the level but then again she might be thinking about her commission and her extra weeks trip to Bali this year! Come on OwnHome - you can do it - haggle for more discount even if it's $50!! If you can't get her down, well at least you'd have tried! :)

With the referral you get $300 discount and I get $200 and if they say no, I (as in me) will be onto the sales manager and giving him a piece of my mind.

Internal tradies? They meant to only use their internal tradies That's what lead to it being inhouse cause contractors screw up the install and they have QA to call back to see if they want to go ahead or not.

I'm just starting to go get some quotes now - from Kresta, and soon from curtain world. Curtain world did our blinds in our current house - their prices were good last time as what I wanted was on sale - I haven't seen the same sale again...

Depending on type of treatment, Vista and ABC could be competitive. Let me know what you guys come up with.
I"m still not sure to tint and roller blind with sun shade (not blockout ones) or blockout roller and panel glide on sliders.
What are your opinions?

Tint & Sunblk Rollers work the same way, dont they, no privacy when dark :-(

Its really a personal choice i blive.
Practically, Verticals would be the simple choice, but if u r looking for a chg(like me), there comes all the trouble .

I like Panel blinds (sun blk) (they r the expensive ones in the range) for the alfresco, living..areas, but mite affect the lite that coms in.

I was thinking of verticals all thru, roller (blk out) in hometheatre, venetans in bath n ensuite

or panels in alfresco, living, verticals else where, roller (blk out) in hometheatre, venetans in bath n ensuite

am getting quotes from westral, Decor2go, kresta, n then will proceed

there is one family owned biz in CV, EasyLiving, seem to be good. giv a go.
