Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Who is building with Beechwood 14682Mar 26, 2017 6:43 am Broadynest tapasr_Lexia4 Awesome Broady...Looks like you're first on that side of the block...what's your roof? Monument? How did you get a aerial view of this house btw? Gives a great perspective of the whole area. It's Basalt and we love it! I was fortunate enough that one of my friends used his drone to take some aerial photos for us. It surprises me that there haven't been more people on our side of the street they're all sold though. The house to the left of us will be an Allworth and the one on the right is a GJ. We just love our Castle on the hill. That's nice. I reckon your friend should start a business for aerial shots. This comes handy when you're selling your home etc. Ours is a growing area as well. Because we bought on the first stage and land got registered last Sept 2016 (end part) almost everyone started building around end of January and because our land is next to the builder's block, we have instant neighbours. I even got to know one and became friends on the net from a forum like this and they are nearly half way to their built. The one on our left was from Trend Connection (remember the post about them cutting further to our land - which Beechwood said it's fine as it's a common practice so their machine can dig on their side etc)... There's alot of Eden Brae, King Homes, New Living, Masterton but we'll be the first Beechwood.... can't wait for April 10 Thanks for sharing Broady buildingourhumblehome.blogspot.com.au Re: Who is building with Beechwood 14683Mar 26, 2017 6:51 pm Tapasr_Lexia4 = Lexia4 I just shortened my name ...still me buildingourhumblehome.blogspot.com.au Re: Who is building with Beechwood 14685Mar 27, 2017 7:28 am braddy_ we got our pre-lock up invoice... using guesstimation, how long between pre-lock to keys? 3 months? 6 months? Fingers crossed for you it all pans out. Best bet would be to catch up with your construction supervisor and explain your concerns. They should have a run sheet as such to show you were they upto and what's going to be booked next so forth and so forth. I was shocked, didnt expect to see them for a few weeks. We were told once they finish tiling, it only takes another 3 or so weeks until you get the keys. Yes its all to Australian standards. The walls have to be water resistant to 1.8 not waterproofed we first thought. They have used a water resistant sheeting. Beechwood are doing everything right. Only time will tell if it leaks. They did get stuck into it today Tom. My brickies made the most of the great weather too. They laid the bottom courses yesterday and it was filled with Granite Guard. Today they laid the whole garage wall and down to the end of the living area. I bought the four of them a pie and sausage roll each for lunch. Then this afternoon I dropped them off a six pack each for a great days work, and a nice way to end their working week. The boys really appreciated the gesture. I figure it's a small investment for something as important as your external walls which are always seen. I have attached some of my photos.
