Hi guys
This is long overdue.
Plan [ img ] Elevations [ img ] External colours - as per Amari display [ img ] Brick - Cervantes Doors - disregard the colours they are copied from Corinthian doors website [ img ] Ensuite/Bathroom [ img ] Kitchen [ img ] I will upload more info when I get more time...
NOTE: some of the colours are changed by the screen - a bit hard to reflect the true colours...
Love it! Is that the first time you've uploaded your plan, because I don't remember seeing it before. And you've made some beautiful selections. I can't wait to see the progress
I suppose I should start a thread too, soon....

Thanks Oceanus 2
I waited to have my pre-start before posting anything - I changed my mind so many times... I probably had 3 versions of exterior colours then tiles etc etc
and yes I think it's time you started a thread so I can enjoy your building experience with you... how far are you now?
Starbabe
I have to admit I did take some ideas from your thread - I'm getting the vanity benchtops in Creaser stone with 200mm fascia and semi-recessed basins and you know what? I was thinking to move the basins away from the side walls but I was concerned they were not aligning with the doors - then I noticed that your basins are slightly offset from the centre of the doors and looked quite ok - so thanks for the inspiration... :)
You must be so happy with how the house turned out... it’s a gorgeous home – can’t wait to see it all painted and with the floor boards... how exciting...

Thanks somewoman – I can say that your plan is a very unique one, especially the kitchen area... do you think you have enough storage?? love it!!
In spite of all the troubles you're having with your SS from your photos everything is looking good....
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get a decent SS and a good CSO.
We found a place to rent 5 minutes walk from our site so we can keep an eye on the build and hopefully we will be able to develop a good relationship - it does make a difference...
I do hope that your SS problems will improve so you can enjoy the rest of the process... just keep positive...
We received unconditional approval on our finance yesterday, so now I'm a teeny weeny bit excited about my build. Just waiting to receive the final plans for signing, and then obviously news on moving to construction.
Have you received your pre-start costings yet? We received ours a week after our pre-start appointment.

Thanks zircon
any firm date on your site start? this waiting game is a killer... you must be very close now!!!...
Jbarry
you must be so excited... bravo - you are on your way to build your beautiful house finance is next thing for us to worry about... we know we can borrow more than we need but I will feel much better when I receive the unconditional approval...
Yes it's the Frangipani elevation
At this point we're still waiting for the pre-start pricing - I did ask for some non-standard items to be priced -e.g. copper piping soldered throughout the house, lamguard for front elevation, exposed t-bars and steel posts to be galvanised before being painted so I think they are waiting for those items to be priced... Once I get the variation I can go to the bank
It will get a bit more exciting when I have finance approval and I know we are on our way...

I must get to and update my post with my final selections.
I slept much better last night knowing it was all sorted. I knew there wouldn't be a problem with finance, but you know different things keep running through your head and I didn't do myself any favours by stressing about it.
I can't wait to see our final plans - I'll be sure to post a copy on my post once they are through.
Funny I was in bed last night trying to picture in my mind how it was all going to look. I could see it as clear as day. Too bad for my husband - he doesn't have those visualisation skills that I have. The interior has mostly been my pet project - he has had a few wants himself, however when it comes to colours and finishes - that has definately been my department. So hopefully it will all come together nicely.

At least my husband told me up front he is not good selecting colours - I still asked him to approve and make sure that he is happy with the selection and that he feels part of the process. When I had all the samples in front of him occasionally he used the words “hmmm” and “I’m not sure” so I worked harder to make him understand what I meant...
I am the 3D visualiser - I did scketches before going to pre-start to make sure we understand how is going to look and for the builder to understand what we want... I had sketches for every side of the bathroom and ensuite... - had comments on the original plans inserted using Adobe pro and had the electrical plans all changed with our requirements before going to the pre-start

To tell you the truth..... we didn't even notice the basins were off centred on our plans!!! It wasn't until they went in!!!! Luckily they don't look too bad!!!!
Thankyou for the compliment Really looking forward to our timber and carpets now!!

Hi Bagheera, your house if going to look really nice when its finished. Love the colours you've chosen. I would have liked the nougat caesarstone in our kitchen but DP didn't like it, so we're going with Walnut instead.

Thanks hels and rosemi
rosemi Nougat is a nice stone and looks good with our darker laminate but Walnut is perfect with the lighter coloured laminate of your kitchen cubpoards.
We were thinking to use walnut in our bathrooms with a white but changed our minds when we discovered the new Whisper as is suited us better.
Walnut is a very nice colour - you will be very happy with the result.

oh yes the Whisper is very nice too - does it have a grey speck in it in reality or is it just my monitor colours playing tricks on me?
Our stone was part of a package and so we only had a limited choice of colours, Osprey, Nougat, Urban and Walnut. I didn't like urban and because Dp didn't like nougat, our choice was then limited to only 2. DP also didn't want to go with a light cloured benchtop because he was concerned about it staining - he cooks a lot of curries (mmmm yummy), so the walnut ended up being our only option. Anyway, I think it'll look great when its done - can't wait!

Yes Whisper (DLX) is a light warm grey with some gentle colour shades - it's quite a nice colour and will go well with the laminate and the crisp white of the basis and bright chrome taps.
This wasn't a standard colour with our builder but an upgrade.
this photo was taken in the tile shop with the flash light - doesn't quite capture the real colour but it gives you an idea. [ img ]
oh oh - I found some more photos - these are showing Nougat and Whisper together - very similar tonal colours... [ img ] [ img ]
