Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Site works - what does this involve 2Jun 04, 2010 11:26 pm Its a definition which probably differs between builders however some of the things that I class as site costs are: * Site cut and fill (to level the block where the house will be sited) * Slab upgrades based upon soil type on the block * Piering or piles that may be required under the slab due to fill or easments etc.etc. * Retaining walls Other things not technically sites costs but can be required for the site to not forget about * Temporary fencing * All weather access to a block * Additonal drains (ie. if your house will be lower than road level, additonal drain will be required for a future driveway drain) There is more that others can fill in!
