Re: CARLISLE HOMES WINS AGAIN : General Information Thread 83Oct 08, 2009 9:32 am Hey S&P quick question how on earth do you know soooo much about Carlisle lol new display locations, awards etc...? do u know someone on the inside ? Based on all your Carlisle threads I've been wondering if you actually work for these guys lol? Re: CARLISLE HOMES WINS AGAIN : General Information Thread 84Oct 08, 2009 10:00 am I do love the Riverton!!! I think I've finally settled on Carlise, just for their inclusions and finishes. But we need to baulk up our savings, and my DH wants to finish his masters before we buy. Besides the land we like isn't going to be titled for another 12-18 months anyway! Argh! I hate waiting!! Warren said they wont book jobs until 6 months before the land titles. But at least this means, with an award under its belt, they wont be taking the Riverton off their plans anytime soon!!! And it means I can drool over all the other rivertons being built! Based on all your Carlisle threads I've been wondering if you actually work for these guys lol? You dont know how many times Ive been asked this question.. For the last time, I DO NOT WORK FOR CARLISLE HOMES. All the news I get is from the site..http://www.carlislehomes.com.au/news.html *frosty* I do love the Riverton!!! If your planning on building in a year or a a year and a half, I think the base house price would rise considerably. For example, our Atlantique was $196,900 last year, this year its $217,900 or thereabouts. But the longer you leave it, the more time to look at other houses/builders.. You never know, you might find an even better Carlisle house than the Riverton..but I agree it wont be going anywhere. The Point Cook display will be there for at least another 1.5 years I presume. ***UPDATE*** Just if no one noticed this newsflash in another thread.. But Carlisle are now building in the north of Melbourne. That is, Craigieburn, Epping, South Morang, Mernda and Doreen. Also, new displays are being planned for these areas..so watch this space. I remember asking them how long you can hold a deposit for, and hold the same pricing and inclusions. Im certain they said they can only hold it for a matter of 4 to 6 months, roughly... Better to check with them. Re: CARLISLE HOMES WINS AGAIN : General Information Thread 88Oct 09, 2009 8:07 am Hi guys, it's definitely 6mths. After that they have a timing allowance in their contracts which allows them to increase the price the longer that you take to build. So either way the price will increase. Not much I can do about it really, There isn't much land in our suburb, and we're not really in the position to really do it all now. Maybe with interest rates going up, and FHOG coming down, the price rise won't be too dramatic, trying to keep buyers interested. *fingers crossed* WAITING SUCKS though! ~W~ Building our forever home - Lilium Estate Clyde - Land due May 2019 Built our first home - Pakenham - 2011 Re: CARLISLE HOMES WINS AGAIN : General Information Thread 90Oct 09, 2009 11:17 am *frosty* Oh well, I guess we'll just see how it goes. I know tell me about it.... we've put a deposit down and are at contract signing now with Carlisle on the Riverton 27, but we don't get to start building until Feb/march.... so I know what you mean about waiting!! We're (I'm a he are expecting to start in late November/Early December. Some good news though we got approved by Westpac for finance, valuation came in at practically cost (land + house) was only $516 less and we put a lot of variations into the house that bumped up the price a bit so the banks at least see the value in the house. Our land is in Point Cook in case anyone is wondering where. Re: CARLISLE HOMES WINS AGAIN : General Information Thread 94Oct 09, 2009 4:41 pm Frosty, now you play the (long) waiting game!! Good to hear your evaluation went well, Zerosignal. From my experience, the colour consultants are extremely helpful and give you some great advice. Theyll tell you what they think, if the colours work together, and show you whats standard and whats not. That was how my colour selection was, dont know if its changed or not...as we did our colours in the old (crappy) showroom. You will be doing yours in the new Spectra centre...I hear its fantastic. So I presume your colour selections will be much easier than mine....more range in Spectra.
