After months of looking at diffrent displays homes all across Melbourne, and doing our homework of looking at tiles and bricks and colour schemes before our consultations and the backwards and forwards with the builder, we have finally came to this point. We also saw another house from the same builder and that went from site scrape to frame in two weeks, boy they move fast. Surely I'm not the only person using this builder in MW on this fourm?? We are about to have a site start and there are a few things we must have done before the builder starts. What is required by me when they want the site clean, before they start. I know I have to cut the grass, but I don't have to remove the grass do I?? Feedback would be gr8 Builder; Big M Design; Soho 32 Facade; Ascent Blog; http://mickeyb-soho.blogspot.com Trend; viewtopic.php?f=31&t=23990 Re: Building with Big M in Marriot Waters 13Oct 22, 2009 8:57 pm We paid a lawnmowing guy $50 to mow our block before we started, he didn't catch the clippings so it was spread out on the block but it wasn't a problem. Some builders require you to put a sign up. And of course, make sure there is no rubbish dumped on your block from other people's builds. Re: Building with Big M in Marriot Waters 14Oct 22, 2009 10:31 pm Hey mickeyb! Congrats!!! I've just finished building in MW, moved in last weekend!! I'll keep this one short, but no matter what happens throughout the whole process, its definitely worth it in the long run!!! ICK So glad the building is over, never again. Loooove our house, but still not quite sure it was worth all of the stress they put us through! Can't wait to see your house go up, added this to my favourites! It is funny the first house we were deadset on building nearly 12 months ago was the Soho 29. We went from: Soho Grandview Santorini Porter Davis Hayman 29 back to Santorini now Carlisle Homes Riverton 30. It has been a journey! No more changing lol Building Standards; Getting It Right! Also an expansion joint. It will probably be better to silicon it? What I don't like is that joints between panels are not properly rendered and look ugly. 1 24709 |
