Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 30, 2009 5:25 pm Hi All Just came back from my rental property and while there was speaking to the poor sods across the road. Their build started just under 4 years ago for three executive town house. And yep its still going on. My heart bleeds for them as these are not cheap houses. Their builder keeps disappearing and given them false finish dates. To get into their houses they have now started doing outside work themselves. eg paving driveways, putting up brick fences etc. All at there own costs. Plus inside stuff is getting damaged. eg After all this time electrical guys cant remember where the wiring is, so they are punching holes in the ceilings all over the place. There is alot of other stuff as well. So to all of you out there choose your builder carefully. They didnt have any choice as they bought off the plan through developer. What a nightmare. They have been to builders registration board which gave them no help at all. Told them to go to council. Yep no help there either. I dont know how the builder gets away with it. There isnt even a site loo or skip bin. Caz Re: 4 years and building still going on 2Aug 31, 2009 10:50 am It boggles my mind that this sort of thing is actually possible!! Devastating for them.
