However, we didn't go ahead with them and never signed a contract. We ended going with a new builder who have told us the previous builder has the active building application and we need to get it disengaged. Reached out to the previous builder who is basically now holding us ransom and refusing to disengage the previous BA until we pay them for canceling the prelim agreement. Don't think this is right. Getting mixed responses from Brisbane city council. Does anyone know if an owner is allowed to cancel previous BA on their block? Thanks! Thanks for the response! However, it's have been sorted.
