Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes general build thread 8281Apr 02, 2017 9:27 am Yeah, just checked the plan & the double powerpoint halfway up the wall above the benchtop is marked for the washing machine. Can't believe our inspector, my wife & I all missed this....doh! So I'm now debating whether to argue the case with Coral or just cut a hole in the corner of the benchtop, fit one of those hole cover things you get in computer desks and plug the cable in that way. I'm guessing the latter option may be the less hassle option although not the most pleasing on the eye.....sigh. Think you may fight an uphill battle if you didnt have it specified. worth a shot though Re: Coral Homes general build thread 8283Apr 02, 2017 9:31 am Hobbes Yeah, just checked the plan & the double powerpoint halfway up the wall above the benchtop is marked for the washing machine. It looks so much better with no plug hanging around. I'm glad I got mine added because if I hadn't, there wouldnt be any room for a shelf I'm putting in soon without the cord being in the way. So your plan actually shows the powerpoint further down the wall so it's under the bench? If so get them to move it! You may be able to get one in cash pretty cheap, and not a while lot more that the hole and desk attachment. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 8286Apr 02, 2017 10:46 am Hobbes No, the double PowerPoint on the plan is shown on the wall, so it's technically as per the plan, the problem is the benchtop between WM and the PowerPoint. As whitey said, you will face a battle trying to change this. I'd spend the extra money and get an electrician to do it. Buy the PowerPoint yourself and just pay labour, but you'd have to make it worth their whole to come out, do you have other areas you could install extra? I got Slimline Power points for about $7 online. Im sorry but Im still trying to find "the sink" without reading the whole Coral thread. I do love NicMac's but need a cheaper backup. Can people please post pics of their sinks? I know a few of you have the cheaper one I like but I can't remember which ones you are???? Also is there anyone that allowed 1000mm for fridge, has free standing 900mm oven and pot drawers either side of oven? if so do they fit ok without gaps? and did you ask for them at colours? I know every kitchen dimension is different but I think the Noosa / Santorini / Avoca and Granges have very similar kitchens. We need to do our final email tonight to fix all the probs at colour apt. TIA again Re: Coral Homes general build thread 8289Apr 02, 2017 6:03 pm BrownDog77 Hi everyone I hope you've had great weekends and have lots of progress whichever stage your at this week! TIA again Yes we had a 1000mm wide cavity for fridge. With the plaster and skirting it's a perfect size. Can take a fridge up to 920mm wide at that dimension. Remember also to ensure cabinets over the fridge are high enough as the 'from floor level' measurement is from the slab. We had ours raised to 1850 during construction as we stuffed this up initially C U S T O M. C O R A L. Aww yeah i forgot you ended up not moving forward with them. Its not ideal but yeah id still be happy you got anything back. I think when we asked the same question it was a non refundable cost for things to progress. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 8300Apr 03, 2017 5:26 pm I would definitely get that fixed!!! Do you have a rental you need to be out of soon, or are you good with a longer build to fix that? Your home looks amazing btw, I love your bathrooms and flooring. But yeah, I could not live with that at all :/ Coral Homes Avoca 25 in Gainsborough Greens Gold Coast Viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81406 You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14665 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 15037 Hi so sorry for the late reply.
