We're building with Simonds in SA and I have to say, our CRC is fantastic, he replies to our questions (and there's been many!) within 24 hours and gives us an update via email every Friday. It's the SS that we can never get hold of.. Oh My god! She is so hard to get hold of and every email we send takes a week or more to reply. No updates or anything about what the next step is or what are we waiting for. Reallly bad. From the very start we had problems with her! Sale person James was really nice and always help us get things done. We just send her a nasty email. She can either pass us on to her manager or someone else. She is making us nervous even before the build! Re: Building the Simonds Palisade in Gippsland 87Mar 15, 2017 11:55 am That would be very frustrating danevechild! We have a great crc, we haven't met our supervisor yet but I'm fairly certain you can request to change your crc, even if you speak to the sales consultant you first saw and let him know your problems? Hope you can get it sorted! Building the simonds palisade in gippsland Re: Building the Simonds Palisade in Gippsland 88Mar 15, 2017 12:29 pm Cassie.f90 That would be very frustrating danevechild! We just send her an email and only when we are not very nice do we actually get a reply from her. They apparently have 70 client her CRS. I'd request again and say you are not happy with her. It's a shame it has to come down to being "not very nice" for her to reply. He said our site was cut yesterday and even sent me a photo since we live 1.5 hours away he said he can send me photos whenever he is there as I won't be able to go too often which I thought was really nice! He also said we won't be getting a slab until week after next since he uses the same tradies for all his builds and he is building 7 of them on our street alone! But id rather a slight delay with trust worthy tradies than randoms who may do a ******* job! We are trying to decide if it hasn't been sold whether to put up a temporary fence and wait or just pay the full amount. Has anyone lived with temp fencing? What did you use? We have two young boys so really need something to keep them in. Also a photo update.. fencer is currently doing the back fence Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Building the simonds palisade in gippsland Building the Simonds Palisade in Gippsland 96Mar 28, 2017 12:00 pm Cassie.f90 Hey guys just a question for those who have done their fencing.. we have a vacant block next to us and are hoping it is sold before handover so we don't have to pay the full price of our 40m fence. We have put our fencing quote through to the developer, they will add it to the paperwork for that block and it'll be paid to us once land has settled, for us it seems like a better way for it to have gone even though we'll have the initial outlay Re: Building the Simonds Palisade in Gippsland 97Mar 28, 2017 12:06 pm Marshall5858 Cassie.f90 Hey guys just a question for those who have done their fencing.. we have a vacant block next to us and are hoping it is sold before handover so we don't have to pay the full price of our 40m fence. As far as I'm aware in Vic if we erect a fence before the block is sold or without the permission of our new neighbor than the cost is on us. I haven't heard about speaking to the developer though and getting reimbursed. I'll look into it, thanks Marshall Building the simonds palisade in gippsland Building the Simonds Palisade in Gippsland 98Apr 04, 2017 12:46 pm Annnnnd we have a slab!!! It’s currently being assessed by our building surveyor 4 19522 With that sort of soil type if you ask for a design to include piers then I would also include void formers. That way you should reduce the chances of settlement and heave. 7 20002 |
