Re: KDR: Metricon Signature Split Level Sloping Block 85May 30, 2017 6:34 pm House wrapped yesterday and temp downpipes on today. Still waiting on a few defect fixes though; one of them requires our approval so just waiting on that to come through. Bit of a slow down whilst that's in progress. Re: KDR: Metricon Signature Split Level Sloping Block 86Jul 03, 2017 7:41 pm Been sloooowww here, as we wait for the boundary to get sorted out. We're one step closer though; but M can't brick until that's sorted. House is pretty much at lockup; all the doors are in; stacker doors are in (incorrectly, but they'll be fixed). Plumbing and electrics complete, all insulation done. Pre-plaster inspection is scheduled. Been ignoring the house for a bit; and every time we go there it surprises us. Should be pretty mint when it finally is complete! Re: KDR: Metricon Signature Split Level Sloping Block 88Jul 30, 2017 7:19 am Can you pm me your site cost? We are on a slope too. 10 metes fall in total, but we have a long and narrow block. 13.4 m width and 885m2. I have a feeling I will fall off my chair once we get quotes Re: KDR: Metricon Signature Split Level Sloping Block 89Jul 31, 2017 5:42 pm Petal84 Can you pm me your site cost? I have a feeling I will fall off my chair once we get quotes I'd be interested to see if they even quote you! When I was looking around most of the volume builders wouldn't even quote if the slope was greater than 2-4m !! Re: KDR: Metricon Signature Split Level Sloping Block 90Aug 01, 2017 4:29 am We are going with a custom design, but they haven't said anything about how much the site costs will be. Just that they will minimise the cost by building split level... that still doesn't tell me anything. How much did your site cost end up to be? I keep on reading people on here have to pay like 50 k for a 500 mm slope and that scares the hell out of me. And when it comes to the retaining walls, I think we just need to do that our selves haha. Re: KDR: Metricon Signature Split Level Sloping Block 91Aug 02, 2017 5:49 pm Will do Petal. Our site costs for custom were more expensive, but the design was bearer and joist rather than slab. Bricks are finished, apart from under windows, and whole house is fully plastered - it feels AMAZING. Re: KDR: Metricon Signature Split Level Sloping Block 93Aug 02, 2017 9:51 pm That 4300 wide stacker door awesome!! Re: KDR: Metricon Signature Split Level Sloping Block 95Aug 09, 2017 11:18 am We are 1% away from being locked up.. It's frustrating, but hopefully we get there today! My poor site manager keeps getting SMS with pics of defects to be rectified asap from me. Oh well. He's been excellent. Re: KDR: Metricon Signature Split Level Sloping Block 96Aug 11, 2017 8:13 pm how awesome its coming along!! what kind of Defects have you had? anything major? btw - I really REALLY love that stacking door! Re: KDR: Metricon Signature Split Level Sloping Block 98Aug 17, 2017 6:26 pm Repetitive leak fixed! Massive couple of days here.. Early this week it looked like everything had stalled - again - we knew tradies had been going round but not much was visible. In the last 3 days, they have completed the capping, guttering, fascia (apart from the garage), flashing, downpipes and have started installing the massive exterior grate drains. Seriously, they're like 600mm x 600mm! In the interior, plaster was finished in early August, however not much had moved since then due to exterior works needing to be done. Floors were waterproofed and levelled in the last 2 days, and timber flooring commenced today. I can't believe it! SM called me, gave the timeline of cabinets install on Tues, fix completed by the week after and then painting & tiling. We're actually still not even formally "locked up"! Re: KDR: Metricon Signature Split Level Sloping Block 100Aug 17, 2017 8:34 pm Oh wow! Yes it was worth it. Was it expensive? Is this Tempo range? We have chosen 180mm blackbutt although spotted gum was a close 2nd. Who does Metricon's floorboards? Would love to see more photos as we haven't even started our build yet!
