Building with Dale Alcock Dale Alcock Build in Secret Harbour 82Oct 30, 2012 3:09 pm Wow Casanova time has flown!!! Have you got any paint colours in mind??? We ended up going solver smoke pearl throughout living areas and solver wallaby in bedrooms and ensuite. Oh and carabou in theatre. Try not get to overwhelmed by it all, I think a lot of people stress about it because there's literally thousands of colours to choose from and you keep second guessing yourself. Still waiting door furniture, carpets, brick paving and clean up. Awaiting other minor items like BIR for one of the kids bedrooms and gas bayonet in outdoor bbq area. Currently having an issue with our kitchen stone bench top. There is a join where the hotplate is. As it sits right next to the window, (which faces north) it gets the summer heat which is making the gap expand and contract. SS looking at ways to rectify this. Hopefully it won't delay handover. Did you do your driveway through DA or have you organized it yourself?? If the latter would like to know if you can recommend them?? (Pm me if you prefer) Love that cladding looks gorgeous. Also, are you happy with your robe fit outs??? We were quoted $2700 for our master bedroom WIR (that's after a credit for the standard shelf and rail) and we umm'ed and arrrr'd and eventually said no and left it as is. Since we've seen yours we are now having second thoughts and wondering if it might be worth asking if we can still do it?????? Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. I have to say that the robe fit outs are great, especially the main WIR. You could probably do it yourself for cheaper, but I have to say I don't have any regrets with DA doing it. Not to sure what ours cost as they were part of the Aspire specs for our house. Anyone aware of what the policy is for building companies in regards to building houses next to each other with the same frontages and colours? My Secret Harbour Build https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57248 Re: Dale Alcock Build in Secret Harbour 93Nov 09, 2012 10:01 am HI Polack, Can you please pm me the details of the contractor who did your agg driveway Is someone building the exact same house next door to you? Re: Dale Alcock Build in Secret Harbour 94Nov 09, 2012 10:23 am marybond2012, I'll grab the details off our SS and pm you. Well our house is based on the Reflection display but we changed the frontage to the Archipelago. (Windows slightly different). People next door are building the Archipelago and their frontage is well the Archipelago frontage with some minor changes. Looks like their colours are going to be pretty much the same as ours. You'd think someone would have picked up on it. It's not as if our house has suddenly appeared. My Secret Harbour Build https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57248 Re: Dale Alcock Build in Secret Harbour 95Nov 09, 2012 10:35 am In our estate guidelines from stockland it states that you can't have 2 houses that are similar next to each other...so who ever applies for developer approval first gets to have the house the way they want it...although saying that i noticed 2 houses next to each other with exact same floor plan...just looks a little bit different at the front. Re: Dale Alcock Build in Secret Harbour 96Nov 09, 2012 10:49 am chris0189, They approved our landscaping. On the rebate form they want landscapers details that did the job. I'll probably just put the name of the company that provides me the plants that I'll plant my self. It'll be cleaned by the pool company in a couple of weeks time once they install the pump and heating. We have 3 Riva's and our street and I made sure ours looked different (archipelago front elevation). I would look into it. maybe give the local Shire a call.
