What paint and colour did you use for the fence? I'm looking for a nice charcoal colour for our front fences but the only fence paint I could find was Walpamur Ironbark which looks a little blue. Hi HA - glad you like. It's Dulux Monument. Re: Classic style weatherboard Melb -driveway/landscaping- y 743Apr 27, 2016 9:40 pm Excellent. I've been tossing up between Dulux Monument and Dulux Domino. Domino is a tad darker but looking at your pics Monument looks dark enough for a fence. Our front door, garage door and gutters are Monument so I don't know whether to stick with that or go darker ie. Domino ? Too many choices to be made ? That's only one coat as well. I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed! [/quote] Ha ha ha ha looks fantastic, you must be so pleased. I love your colour choice. I cannot wait to be at that stage of my build...... (still living in the house that will be removed) May I ask Cinder, how far up off the ground (finished floor level) is your house at the front? We will have to have our finished floor level approx. 1m off natural ground level. The verandah/front decking at least not quite so high. Just trying to get a sense of what it will look like. Thanks WoH Re: Classic style weatherboard Melb -driveway/landscaping- y 756May 18, 2016 9:40 am WifeofHunza Now to sit out on the porch with my shotgun to make sure no one messes with it! Thanks WoH Thank you Don't worry, you'll get there! Um good question. At street level our block is quite flat - the slope kicks in more towards the middle & bottom of the block. I'll have to ask hubby for you. But if you go to my first post it shows the elevation diagrams, so you can get an idea. But basically at the front the house isn't off floor level. The 'lift' or whatever the technical term is doesn't start til about end of the garage because the garage is a concrete slab. See what I am saying? You can see the fence posts are in too, I am actually wondering if they will be able to fit 3 Manchurian Pear trees in there now, because the fence has to be in set from the boundary as that's council land (or something).
