Would love to see your kitchen scheme in the next set of pictures Build thread of our Monaco Lux Q1 - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76750 Update: Handover - 2 Sep Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 623May 25, 2015 9:31 pm Thanks hitman. It's all sorted now. We were told we could have the overhang cupboards with the larger rangehood, but apparently you can't and that's why they put the wrong style cupboards in. We didn't pick it up. We have now changed to the concealed rangehood so we can have the overhangs. They wanted to charge us $250 for a building variation, but we told them we weren't paying it as it was a miscommunication at our color appointment. They didnt kick up a fuss or anything, just said ok they will waive it. Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 624May 26, 2015 8:58 am Confused_fhb_2015 - the doors are polar white crystal gloss. Splash back is Paua Shell clear glass. Row_007 - Yeah we have the concealed range hood. If you can i would upgrade it from the technica as its rubbish!!! Also get it vented out of the roof space. Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 626Jun 03, 2015 10:13 pm Hi hitman may I please ask for a photo of the range hood? And also what model is it? Thanks Building the Sahara Q3 with Henley Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 627Jun 04, 2015 8:17 am Izzyb Hi hitman may I please ask for a photo of the range hood? And also what model is it? Thanks Building the Sahara Q3 with Henley Hi Izzyb....pretty sure ours in the same rangehood as hitmans and its a concealed undermount rangehood, model number CP10SS. Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 629Jun 25, 2015 7:28 pm Sorry I've been away for a while from here trying to get stuff sorted with the house still. So we have now also had out shower screen replaced in ensuite. Also I contacted Phoenix about our ** water pressure in the kitchen and they said it was likely the tap was blocked internally from dirt and junk in the new pipes (whatever) anyway they replaced it under warranty (blockages not covered apparently) and the new one is heaps better!!! I also took out the destructor O ring off one of the slow ensuite taps and this instantly fixed water pressure there too. No more 5 minute wait for hot water to come through (yep it took that long). Update on kitchen too, laminex rep came out to check it all and said replace the lit as its one of the worst they've seen. They are supplying them with clear glues and new panels and it has to be showroom perfect of we get replaced again with new cabinet maker. Everything else going okay. It's amazing how long it takes for things to finally settle down. I hope it does not take that long with mine. So how are you finding Henley in dealing with post handover issues ? Also would you mind sharing how much you paid per metre for your beautiful timber fencing ? And is it with double side paling ? Thanks Building Monaco Q2 with Henley in Wollert Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 631Jun 28, 2015 10:02 am Bit hit and miss with post handover fixing. Most things have been taking ages due to suppliers sending wrong things out. A&L windows are hopeless! Shower screen guys were average but it depends on the installer you get. Kazam kitchens are terrible and I can't believe they've been given 4 goes to get our doors right and still haven't managed to do it. We are still finding little things here and there that will go on the 12 month maintenance fixes. We have a massive line about 4m long down one of our walls where the painter has missed the second top coat. We are so over it. The whole process has been so bad that we will likely never build again and sadly what we wanted as our forever home will probably never be Our fence is awesome! It's single side paling with red gum posts. We paid $62 per metre. The things we've organised ourselves we have been mostly happy with. Had an issue with one security door which was fixed, have an issue with the flooring that I need to call them about too but everything else has been good. But I have already found few things missing here and there. Paint job looks terrible for now let's see if it's any better by Thursday. Staining on the timber windows is like it's been done by 10 year old. Hoping it's not like this by Thursday.. Is there anything particular to look for in NHP , Any Suggestions ? Thanks Building Monaco Q2 with Henley in Wollert Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 633Jun 28, 2015 10:28 pm Check your taps all work and all have good pressure. There is an adjusting valve on the house side of the meter that can be turned up with a screw driver, check its up all the way. If it is and pressure is still bad then they may be blocked internally, ours were. Check all your opening window sashes are square in the Frame and open all the way. Check for exposed screws above door frames. Check all your cabinets are mounted properly and don't squeak when you lean on them. Check all cabinet doors are not scratched. Take a ladder and get up in the man hole, check your insulation has been done and is correctly cut around your down lights. Check your bricks have been washed properly. Check all fasteners holding your down pipes into your bricks and any that are rusted from brick washing are replaced. Check for cracks around light switches and power points. Check your flooring is correct and carpet pattern is square if you got Henley to do it. If you have LED down lights check for flickering especially if dimmable. Check none of your doors stick, bind in the frame or squeak/creak. Check paint then check it again and then once more. Check your window frames and door frames for nails that haven't been hammered in far enough. Fill your bath about 1/4 full and then pull the plug and make sure it's draining, ours took over 10 minutes to drain 10cm, was caused by one of the plastic bag temp doe pipes getting put into our drain. Check for scratches on bench tops, ours were terrible. There is more but the list will be endless. There is a good one on home one already. Hope this helps though Re: Henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - The Eyrie Laurimar 634Jun 28, 2015 10:59 pm Thanks hitman - really helpful for everyone reading I guess ! Dreamz - what's NHP ? Final handover ? Thanks The main thing is to not handover until you are satisfied! It always takes them longer to fix issues after handover. You've lost any power once you hand over that last cheque.
