It must be getting really close now to completion? Have you made checklists of everything you need to do when you move? There's a brief blog post with a few things you'll need to organise, which may be of use to you... http://blogs.dalealcock.com.au/things-to-organise-when-moving-home/ Have you got all your furniture and colours etc. sorted? Looking forward to your next update. Best, Jemima. Dale Alcock Homes. We love building. Not much activity. Painters came and went. Still more to do. Tilers came and went. Still more to do. Brick Paver came and went. Did nothing. Looks like paving sand not there. Thanks for the suggestion on the checklist for moving. This is our 8th move in 9 years so hopefully we should have the moving part down pat. We've organised for after handover so far the floor boards, window treatments, new furniture, alarm, decking, pool paving and fencing, pool water feature, bbq, pizza oven, bar fridges, stone bench top for outdoor kitchen, planter boxes and a letter box. I'm sure we have missed somethings but I guess we'll find out soon enough. I'll probably do most of the landscaping myself. Here's an idea of what I'm planning. They provided a quote and I nearly myself. However, I did like the design so I just modified the image using MS Paint to give me an idea on what to do. I've landscaped a few houses before (mine and friends), so hopefully it'll come in cheaper than the quote. I just need to make time. Just wandering which landscaper you got the plans through? Are you just getting them to do the front landscaping (as per the satterley rebate)? Re: Dale Alcock Build in Secret Harbour 69Oct 04, 2012 10:03 am chris0189, You can use any landscaper. We have gotten quotes from a few. Landscapes WA is a good one. I'll probably end up doing the landscaping myself for the front and back. My Secret Harbour Build https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57248 Dale Alcock Build in Secret Harbour 70Oct 04, 2012 7:10 pm You would get the Satterley rebate hey? The one thing that's got me is that it states you have to get a plan done from a licensed landscaper and have them complete the work. I'd rather do most of the work myself but a few of the landscapers I've spoken to said that if they are sending their plans in to Satterley then they want to do all of the work as if reflects on their company. I think you should be allowed to do the work yourself. To a good standard obviously. Re: Dale Alcock Build in Secret Harbour 71Oct 05, 2012 9:08 am chris0189, Have you seen some of the gardens that have been done around the area? I'm pretty sure that you and I could do a better job. I'm in the process now of submitting garden plans to Satterley now for approval. I haven't mentioned who's doing the landscaping so we'll see what they say. Thinks are looking good towards a handover around the middle of November. Have been advised that a pre handover meeting will likely be booked for around the end of October and then it's 10 working days before we get the keys. It's getting closer!!!!
