After agonizing over what colour roof we are ecstatic with it, particularly with how the shed matches. Looking foward to seeing a kitchen go in on Thursday, then it will start to feel like a house on the inside too! Building the Pl@ntation Retreat on 4009m2. All moved in!!!!!! We have started getting plans drawn up and some quotes done, still quite a few builders to go through. Alls we know is it will be this year sometime haha Re: 'Retreat'-ing to our Pl@ntation- inside pics 13/1/10 65Jan 30, 2010 8:34 pm Things have been slower since Christmas, after the frantic pace that got us to lock up in about 6 weeks. Now a few issues seem to be holding things from going to the next step. A dint in one of the sliding doors means the painters can't come in until it's replaced. The drain for the main toilet is out of centre so the tiler can't start until that is fixed. All the cabinets went in last Saturday but a stuff up means things need to be fixed here too. See if you can pick what's wrong......or is it just me being pedatic. Laundry....All good here. After seeing Stormy's fabulous kitchen I was specific about the location of the draw handles. I wanted the top draw to be in line with the cupboards which has been done. However, the rest of the draw handles were supposed to be the same distance from the top of the draw as the top ones are. Silly fools centred them instead . Now they all need to be replaced. Can I also please ask what colour your cabinets are in the laundry - it too is a lovely colour - just stunning with the fudgestream! You must be very happy! I think your colours have come together beautifully! I think your colours have come together beautifully! Thanks n&n02. Really wasn't sure about it when we did our colours. Knew I wanted plain doors with the printed/textured benchtop. The colour chick and DH convinced me to go with Fudge Stream. I figured if I hated it, it was just the laundry so it wouldn't matter too much. Good thing I love it now. The doors are Formica Doeskin. Again, the colour girls suggestion. Really looking forward to seeing how the tiles go with it all now. Building the Pl@ntation Retreat on 4009m2. All moved in!!!!!! I cant wait to see the rest of your choices come together as well, they are going to look great I think! Re: 'Retreat'-ing to our Pl@ntation- cabinet pics 30-1 (lots) 70Feb 06, 2010 2:46 pm The fudgestream looks fantastic! I am now worried about our drawer handles as I don't recall specifying how I want them positioned, am sure they will charge us to make a change! I want them to be in line with the cupboard handles too, good that they will have to fix it for you. No wonder they charge through the roof, they make such stupid mistakes they need to cover their costs. We are hoping to get a start date next week (have been telling us the same thing for 3 weeks)! Re: 'Retreat'-ing to our Pl@ntation- cabinet pics 30-1 (lots) 71Feb 15, 2010 5:22 pm So tiling has been finished and caesarstone benchtops are in. Really happy with how it as come together. Really happy so far Jess. I'm sure you are busy settling in. Can't wait to see some updated pics of your place. Paint colour is Bristol or Taubmans called Aria Ivory. We saw it in one of their display homes but can't get hold of a sample card. Anyway...I have pics instead Everything is coming together just the way I wanted and I am really happy with all the colours. We have been told mid to late March and CS chick said today they were close to being able to book in PCI. Droped by today and down pipes have been attached so they can now paint the outside. Garage door went on last week and much to my surprise the baths, tapware and oven etc were all sitting in the garage today. Woo hoo!!!!!! Anyway, a few more pics. Is that cedar? No, it was an upgrade to have the timber look garage door. The front of the house is the western side and a real timber door would just get killed by the scorching qld summer sun. Our colours paperwork says it is aTimberlook (woodgrain finish), with slimline profile and the colour is timbertone. I could probably find out the brand if you want but couldn't find it in the paperwork I have. Building the Pl@ntation Retreat on 4009m2. All moved in!!!!!!
