Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone else building at Piccadilly Estate, Riverstone? 581Apr 10, 2017 7:04 pm Hi Silvia, Yeah. It's going to be costly too. I already have been penalised by EBH for not being able to start construction based on contracted date. Have paid to extend the construction by another 6 months which expires end of this month. Will have to pay for extension again I guess. This is the result of finalising tender & building contract early & developer can't deliver on registration date as promised. Cheers! Peter Re: Anyone else building at Piccadilly Estate, Riverstone? 582Apr 10, 2017 7:33 pm Hi Peter We are exactly in the same boat, we were supposed to start our build last October. Not very happy but I do not think there is anything we can do. Let's keep our fingers crossed it happens soon. Regards Silvia Re: Anyone else building at Piccadilly Estate, Riverstone? 583Apr 10, 2017 7:44 pm It's bit frustrating. My travel plans are held up for this reason. My tender will expire in July and worried like u all about the increased costs. I tried dropping an email to Mc Graths asking about the status... unfortunately they haven't responded .. doesn't looks promising. Re: Anyone else building at Piccadilly Estate, Riverstone? 585Apr 10, 2017 8:36 pm The water retention area needs lot of work. Its open without any protection..kinda fence or boundary wall and not sure if that is a requirment in a residential area.. I am suspecting its the water retention area at the estate thats delaying it..otherwise the estate looks fully developed.. Re: Anyone else building at Piccadilly Estate, Riverstone? 587Apr 10, 2017 10:05 pm Hi all, Joel reassured me when civil works were finished that any work needed after civil completion and while waiting for registration would not affect registration time, also the water detention area is council land and it does not affect registration. Re: Anyone else building at Piccadilly Estate, Riverstone? 588Apr 11, 2017 10:32 am Hi all, I believe that everyone is in the same boat but I would like to share the email that I have received of council approval which will speed up the eventual building process Dear Sid, Congratulations! What’s Hey, how long was your application in for? NC Building: Custom Home Re: Anyone else building at Piccadilly Estate, Riverstone? 594Apr 11, 2017 11:34 am I just got a response back from EBH, it appears that Rawson (and maybe a few others) have been approved by council to start this process early for this particular estate. EBH have been approved to do this for their other estates in the past but not Picadilly unfortunately for us building with them.. looks like we sit tight and hope for the best Re: Anyone else building at Piccadilly Estate, Riverstone? 595Apr 11, 2017 11:47 am Hi all, I finally managed to speak with Joel this morning. He confirmed that all council requirements has been met & completed. It is now just waiting for council to give the approval for registration. He assured me that there are no outstanding Council requirements pending. He is chasing Council practically everyday for the approval. He asked us for patience & understanding. This is the latest situation as of 9.15 am this morning. Guess we just have to sit & wait. Cheers! Peter Re: Anyone else building at Piccadilly Estate, Riverstone? 596Apr 11, 2017 11:50 am Gr8 news. Also checked with MJH they don't prefer to lodge deferred DA like Rawson homes and would like to do Council or private certifier in one go once the land is registered Re: Anyone else building at Piccadilly Estate, Riverstone? 597Apr 11, 2017 11:52 am Thanks for the update Peter.... we can just sit and wait .. hope the registration happens soon .
