We are building in Bacchus Marsh. We chose the ash colour scheme and the landgrige facade. I really like the bay window in the master bedroom. I have only seen the blackwood colour scheme at the display home which is lovely so I hope the ash colour scheme turns out well. You're not too far from us, we're in Melton South. I really like the bay window too, I think it makes a huge difference in how big the master bedroom looks! The Argyle was my first choice in floor plan, I'd love to see some pics if you start a thread! I bet ash will look great! Everyone on our street has really similar facade colours (blackwood or chestnut bricks, monument or woodland grey guttering, etc), some days I wish we went with different colours lol. Thank you I'm really pleased with it! I'm so happy that I managed to make what I had in my head turn out! I'm anxiously waiting for the LHS neighbours to do their landscaping (or, well, the builder). They came in last week and did a massive site cut out of the front 1/2 of the block. No idea what their plans are... We thought they'd just leave everything how it is since no one else has cut the front of their block. Now I'm nervous we're going to slide into their yard (or their house into the street). She loves helping out with stuff like that and was so proud I let her water the plants! We've told her one of the trees in the front is hers, one is her brother's and the other one is for mummy & daddy to share, she thinks that's the best thing EVER (except for the fact the mummy/daddy tree seems to have died ). I want her to have memories of all of this stuff, it will be interesting to see what she remembers in a few years. She will never forget that. My parents planted two apple trees when I was little, one for me, one for my Brother. For years we used to watch them grow and treat it like it was a race!! It's little things like that that stay with you forever ❤️ Building with Simonds in S.A Simonds Express - Rathdowne - Western Melbourne 496Jul 25, 2016 1:47 pm Congrats megs your garden is coming on a treat . Once they all take off they will be super pretty. It's extremely rewarding to see it finished how you pictured it. Wait till it grows, I think that about mine. That's a fab idea to plant trees for the kiddies (I might need a orchard for my lot) Glad your roof leak is sorted too, are the tiles fixed now? Re: Simonds Express - Rathdowne - Western Melbourne 497Jul 25, 2016 7:06 pm That's a good idea to get a plant for your children to look after, I might have to do that, too. And, I guess it's also good that 'Mummy & Daddy's' plant is the one that's looking poorly. It would be a bit sad for your daughter to lose her tree. How's the re-grouting issue going? viewtopic.php?uid=71435&f=31&t=82862&start=40 Re: Simonds Express - Rathdowne - Western Melbourne 498Jul 25, 2016 9:20 pm Thanks guys! We went today and swapped the poorly tree for a new one and picked up some heavier duty stakes because it has been so ridiculously windy here! Stilllllllllllllll waiting on the grout to be sorted. We had the guy from the tile shop here to look at the problem a while ago so now it's back to Simonds to schedule it. We had the option to change the grout colour and now I don't know what to do!! I'm really worried it's going to make things look really dark or change the look of the rooms. So I'm torn between having potentially easier upkeep and drastically changing the look/feel. The tile guy brought in the samples and we'd go with the second darkest (so the darkest grey but not black) as the medium colour was a greenish grey and looked sort of dirty with our tile colour. But yeah, I chickened out arrrrrggggg We built the Rathdowne with Simonds Express in Western Melbourne Site start Oct. 2015 Keys Jan. 25th, 2015 My build thread -here- Re: Simonds Express - Rathdowne - Western Melbourne 499Jul 25, 2016 9:54 pm Oh do it!!
