Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4232May 16, 2016 9:44 am Just found out we have a fee to pay with coral homes because our contract ended and the land still isn't ready has this happen to anybody ? It's Stocklands who has the land and who is causing these delays. There isn't anything in our contract about when the land would be ready , it was only a verbal date (Jan-feb this year and it's now may) Manhattan 23 Ormeau Ridge Follow my build = viewtopic.php?t=80441 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4233May 16, 2016 9:47 am baby_blonde409 Just found out we have a fee to pay with coral homes because our contract ended and the land still isn't ready has this happen to anybody ? We started this process last year in October (2015) Paid the deposit December 2015, and only got to sign contract with variations (because was still wrong) in March 2016. It's now May, and we still have no start date! Our sales lady failed to inform anyone that we were owner supplying ducted air con so now it's another huge stuff around and they say the draftsman won't be done until next week! We thought we would be built and moving in by June.. But in reality haven't even started!! Seriously been the biggest stuff around. Coral are soooooo slow! Not to mention they're charging us admin fees for their stuff up first time builders.. Not impressed. We signed our land in October 2015 and had all our coral homes contracts and appointments done before the year ended. It is now May and we have had a third delay on the land being ready. We have just incurred $1,075 from coral homes for price increases because it's been over 6 months since signing contracts ... Worse thing is Stocklands have the worst communication skills. We have been through 3 different land sales consultants in this time and all three times they have changed we have not been Informed until I sent a rude / abrupt email! I'm so annoyed and build has not even started ! What's the bet our colours or something we have chosen has been discontinued when and if we ever get to build -.- !!!!!! We were lucky as our land was already privately owned, so no waiting and no covenants. It's coral that we are having the problems with. Really disheartening, as when we first started the process, we thought we would be moving in by June 2016 I feel your pain! Paying money we shouldn't be. I have not had a fence up yet, and im already past roof stage so it doesnt look like I'll be getting one at all. You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14676 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 15049 Hi so sorry for the late reply. I already contacted them and they wouldn't tell me instead they tried to get me to talk to one of their home coordinators and I'm not… 2 6168 |
