One your house is amazing and big! Love it.. And yerh I agree with the scullery pot drawers being bigger.. Hopefully it all turns out the way you want it to be.. I only got to browse abut but how did you go with kitchen colours? We already have a theatre couch.. It's lovely and big but it not gonna fit right in our theatre room that we're building.. And it's leather too so it's not gonna die anytime soon lols! Oh well, I'm happy to make do with it until we have to replace it but if I could do it all over again.. I wish I could get the couches like these.. Almost like a day bed but a couch all at the same time haha! It would be so comfy! He also wants to build a platform and have the back row higher than the front. It'll probably all change when it comes to doing it lol. I've seen those couches at display homes and they look great! True! That would be awesome to have a row of elevation.. It'll be like proper cinemas haha.. The couch we have atm is L shape.. It does help to have a drink holder! What they will do is redo the leach hwy property and move back there, and then summit home improvements will take over the building they are currently in. Oh how lovely! Did you take any pictures? I forgot to But I will be back for prestart, can take some then Re: IssyandOzzy's Residence - Dining Table Pictures! 50Nov 09, 2014 1:36 pm tsmith great dining table by the way!!! We are also going for an off white on the walls. To complement our cornices, white kitchen and white furniture. I'm pretty sure I'm going with Solvers Silver flute. It is classed as a white, but silver enough to stand out against the bright whites. We also have a touch of silver throughout. And our theme consist of black and white furniture with tinges of red.. I still think the table is too lux but I'm planning to buy things similar to it eg. Glass hall table haha, hope it works out well either way Yay! I think solver silver flute is amazing! I'll get to see yours before I paint hehe it sucks because my mil was going on about a 3 in one paint.. But apparently it doesn't apply on plaster walls are you still getting a professional painter to do yours Turleys? It's been a very busy depressing couple days or week.. Had to be there for my best friend as she had a death in her family.. On top of that, finance hasn't been settled yet.. We had a new financial consultant and at first he was great but I'm a bit disappointed with his work ATM.. And the icing on the cake.. Our titles that were due last Friday hasn't been 'formally issued'.. We have to wait for another 10 days.. I just feel like we're forever waiting and the end feels so very far away.. Sorry about the rant! Anyways to distract my mind, I thought I would go look at timber flooring.. I went to have a look of the 'Quickstep Readyflor spotted gum' and it's not a gloss finish but a matte finish.. I thought it would be at least semi gloss but not even that.. It's really matte.. Does anyone have a picture of what this flooring looks like? Any advices as well? I was thinking of getting skirting boards to go with it but don't know how much extra it would costs.. The guy that I'm getting the flooring from said that these are the best engineered timber in Australia.. How is this brand better from another like 'Skagen' or 'Universal'? Also the display guy told me of Strand woven bamboo and how the janka rating of this is much higher than the engineered timber.. However there are cons to it like not being able to resand, and how janka rating is somewhat the only pro to having strand woven bamboo.. The brand that the guy told me about is 'Inovar bamboo floor'.. Any advice and pictures would be great! I hope all your finances can be sorted soon, so frustrating! I like bamboo flooring, my parents got it in their house. Very hard wearing and still looks good many years later, they went to bamboozle Re: IssyandOzzy have questions! Payments, BI, flooring etc. 55Dec 29, 2014 10:35 pm HELLO! its been over a month since I've posted in my own thread! Not much has changed! We got titles and have had land settlement but now were waiting for certification of titles so that we can get MRA approvals.. I never realised how much was involved in building! I hope that all this is normal and everybody has to go through this.. If anybody can reassure me that would be great! Also were expecting to make our first interest payment mid january.. I just feel a bit confused cos we havent got any building happening yet and already we have to make payments?!?! Is this right?! There's so much I dont know, and I feel bad because I rely on homeone friends to help me out a lot :S Also people with independent building inspectors, when did you sign up to have them (before the building started)? and do you have to tell your builders? Also since forever we've wanted timber flooring (engineered as solid is too expensive) but due to recent visits to in inlaws we've changed our minds! They've got slight gaps on their floor and I saw one timber strip have come out! They've had theirs for 13 months!!, I dont know if they've noticed them but I dont want to be the one to tell them :S Has this happen to anybody? Porcelain tiles... we're coming for you!!!! LOL! Alright, thats it for now TIA x Building: The Maxum Builder: New Generation Homes Estate: Springtime Estate, Xavier ____________________________ Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73924 Re: IssyandOzzy's New Generation Build - Site Works complete 56Apr 06, 2015 4:17 pm Hey everyone, It's been a couple of months of not posting but finally, our build has started!!! So much stress beforehand but I'm glad that we finally have something to show for! Site works have just finish and soon we'll be slabbed! Here's some pictures! Signage! LAND pictures! We kindly ask the neighbour to remove their waste cage lols. Our land finally flat Look at that pile of dirt I know that metal stuff comes before the slab but dunno what its called hehe Site works complete?!? I'm also trying to finalise everything that we need to do after handover.. Carpets - we've found carpets that were less than the budget we though we needed! Which is awesome! Not really in love with the colour as I always wanted darker carpets and hate the "black" that they had in this range.. Has anybody else got light grey carpets? And how do you like them? This is a picture of it with minimal light. The carpet looks darker than it actually is, its the light grey from down below.. This is a picture of the light grey and dark grey carpet, not really loving the dark grey cos in some lighting it looks like a browny grey and I wanted more of a black grey effect. the light grey looks fresh but I feel overtime, its gonna be easy to dirty, what do you guys think? Tiles - we've been everywhere searching from North to South OR for tiles and I finally found one that's so amazing and fits in our budget! We are going with Quality and Affordable Tiles in Malaga and the colour we've chosen is a light grey lappato in the semi matte semi gloss finish! I love the feel of the tiles on my feet and like that it gives off both finishes! Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the actual tile as my brother broke it Lols! It's okay I'll get another sample Also can anybody recommend their tiler to us? Pictures would be amazing! Tile Sample, hope you can see the pebble effect, its my favourite part of the tile Painting - still undecided about this! There are some that I really like in the dulux range.. We want to paint the whole house one colour (maybe different colours for the rooms) and a darker feature colour for the theatre! I'm tossing between dieskau, silkwort, tranquil retreat and miller moon.. The dieskau and silkwort look more browny grey but I saw a post where the silkwort in 1/4 looks so great as a whole house colour! For the darker feature in the theatre I think we're going for timeless grey if anybody has any of these colours in their house, would love to see pictures Were getting a friend's dad to do it, and he's charging $2000 labour and we've got to buy the paint and equipment.. Is that cheap? Does anybody know? Paint Sample with Light coming in from window with chosen tiles. A closer look of the timeless grey, its giving a greenish effect?!? A closer look of the 4 colours I'm currently stuck on.. Thanks, Issy x Now to catch up on all the other builds Building: The Maxum Builder: New Generation Homes Estate: Springtime Estate, Xavier ____________________________ Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73924 Re: IssyandOzzy have questions!
