They sure had some amazing wood look tiles, but we found some equally stunning ones from Trend for $30 a square meter less I'll take pictures during the week once ours are laid and post them up! Your wife has good taste I bet you can't wait to see it all starting up, I've driven past your block a million times, great street Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 43Dec 16, 2013 1:28 am Yup sure was! we are getting our builder supplied tiles through them. The flooring, for the now is the 600x600 porcelain tile but going to check Trend again hopefully they'll have more stock of those wood look tiles (similar to the ones your getting but they had no samples left when we went; they had a sale for those that time, guess they're very popular) and we may yet again change our minds BUILDER SUMMIT HOMES | DESIGN THE MONACO 248 » Our Build Thread Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 44Dec 23, 2013 12:57 am great selections! can't wait to see them in real life. do you have a start date? Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 45Jan 10, 2014 5:11 pm I probably should check my own thread more often rather than hijack other peoples haha, sorry for the late reply Janicec, unfortunately I haven't been given a start date yet but I've been told our plans will be going in to scheduling, not sure how long that takes, but I would assume they'd be able to start end of this month, fingers crossed. BUILDER SUMMIT HOMES | DESIGN THE MONACO 248 » Our Build Thread Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 46Jan 10, 2014 5:24 pm Still anticipating the start of our build but had some time off to sort a few things out and did a major swing in our decision to get 600x600 polished porcelain tiles and instead are going to get this wood look tiles instead, I just couldn't pass up the look of these tiles. (Thanks Twiggens for pointing me in the right direction). We are also considering getting the outdoor version (more grippy texture) of these for our alfresco as well but will wait till we actually got a building first. Was a little worried at first as we are getting taupe coloured kitchen cabinetry but we've seen this done with wood look and still looks great. BUILDER SUMMIT HOMES | DESIGN THE MONACO 248 » Our Build Thread Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 47Jan 10, 2014 5:33 pm Hi Pixelbit, I love the wood look tiles. We saw some really nice wood look tiles at Tile Boutique at Osborne Park but haven't found out how many $'s it may set us back yet. Are you getting the flooring done through the Builder? BTW - your colour selections look great Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 48Jan 10, 2014 5:44 pm Thanks Serenity, we couldn't pass up on this as they had the colour and wood texture we liked and as they were on special as well at Trend Ceramics. Our builder is only going to tile our wet areas only. But pretty excited about how its going to look. BUILDER SUMMIT HOMES | DESIGN THE MONACO 248 » Our Build Thread Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 49Jan 10, 2014 8:15 pm It's going to look great Pixelbit!! I love wood look tiles, best of both worlds! Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 50Jan 25, 2014 1:49 pm Just a quick update, our plans are with the shire now and was told if everything checks out, earthworks should start within a couple of weeks! Getting excited to actually see something physical start to happen now. Anyone else building with Summit doing the "Superwall" instead of the hardball plaster? Curious on peoples thoughts on this, advantages? Disadvantages? BUILDER SUMMIT HOMES | DESIGN THE MONACO 248 » Our Build Thread Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 51Jan 25, 2014 1:51 pm Thanks Janicec for getting me on to EmotiveEarth, Curtis is awesome and prices very reasonable so I've set the ball rolling to getting a whole bunch of Brightgreen LED's and Hillstone starlights from them. BUILDER SUMMIT HOMES | DESIGN THE MONACO 248 » Our Build Thread Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 52Jan 25, 2014 4:41 pm great news! and glad you're happy with Emotive Earth too Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 53Jan 29, 2014 11:29 pm Yep since they're located in WA he came out and brought some sample lights (Couldn't get the room dark enough though) and helped with our lighting plan. BUILDER SUMMIT HOMES | DESIGN THE MONACO 248 » Our Build Thread Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 54Jan 30, 2014 11:19 am Verrrry spiffy tiles! So did you get the Almond ones or the Rovere? We've got the rovere, love them You'll definitely see some action on your block soon by the sound of it, yay!! Oh and have you already locked in the superwall/gyprock over the normal plaster? We've got both in our house due to the raking ceiling and the finish on the plaster is definitely better than the gyprock walls. This may be in part because they used sub-par tradies (they had NO idea, and very little english) to install the gyprock, but we can see the joins in places through the paint, even though we went over everything with the sander before painting. We'd definitely choose plaster over gyprock - but we didn't get the choice on this thanks to the way the high ceiling is built. We're still reasonably happy with it, but we can see the imperfections of the gyprock. Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 55Feb 03, 2014 6:40 pm We ended up putting an order for the almond ones, we are taking a chance with it based solely on the pictures in their brochure as they didn't carry this instore. But looking at your build, the Rovere do look amazing! Showed a friend who is currently renovating, pictures of them from your thread and got all excited about them too We saw the promo Summit had on superwall and was told by our CA that it costs the same as plaster. But we are sticking with the plaster as well. Sorry to hear about subpar trades who did yours, you would think they'd showcase a new product by using decent trades. Regardless of that though, your place is gorgeous! I'll definitely have to go for a walk up that way soon Going to have to google the Almond tiles, can't remember what they look like. Yeah we're very lucky that only 2 walls in our place are gyprock because of the ceiling height, wouldn't be happy with gyprock everywhere for sure. Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 60Feb 12, 2014 11:06 pm We'll hopefully go to our site this weekend. Definitely come visit our build whenever your in the area Twiggens. Hopefully we get to see some earthworks on our block finally, we saw some grass/weeds growing nice and healthy last we saw We didn't see Almond tiles in store but found it in a product booklet for Atlas Concorde and on their website so we taking a gamble on it for sure but judging from the Rovere tiles, We're pretty confident it'll be all good.
