If so, you may find that the increased length and width that this adds to the ground floor results in the roof line intersecting with the rear wall at a higher point, making 12-18 windows in Beds 3 & 4 not feasible. Check out the Liberty 42 at Mulgoa Rise (basically the same as Lib45 except for Master Suite), you'll see that the pitched roof of the Grand Alfresco intersects the back wall of the house at a height that would prohibit 'normal' windows. We're doing high-line windows, which then allow a bed to be positioned underneath without obstructing the window. I can dig out the window spec if you're interested. Thanks jmet, I think that even with the standard Liberty 45 plan, it is not possible to put standard windows facing the back because of the roofline on the ground floor. (We just opted for the standard outdoor room.) The frustrating thing is that we only found out from M now after making changes to swap the bathroom to the bedroom to give access to Windows that face our backyard (north aspect). We also wanted the bedrooms to have a view of the backyard rather than the neighbours' houses on the side. M had put those standard windows in the back in all our plans since Feb 16. Our only option is to increase the ceiling height as Vista did, but that will come with extra costs including extra bathroom tiling that we didn't budget for Build thread: Metricon Liberty 45 in Ryde, NSW Re: Our Metricon Liberty 45 on the Northern Beaches, Sydney 385May 13, 2016 4:42 pm Quirmeball1280 We had the exact same problem with the Henderson! We added an outdoor room along the whole rear of the house plus increased ceiling height to ground floor but didn't realise in doing so that we could only have highlight Windows on the back bedroom walls because of the roofline. A shame really...we back onto a bit of a reserve so it would have been nice for the kids to have a bit of a view. Hoping for renders to start today and when that's done the rear roof can go on, then the big reveal as the scaffold comes off Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Our Metricon Liberty 45 on the Northern Beaches, Sydney 387May 20, 2016 10:11 am Wow that facade looks amazing! Thx. Build thread: Metricon Liberty 45 in Ryde, NSW Re: Our Metricon Liberty 45 on the Northern Beaches, Sydney 390May 20, 2016 4:40 pm Love how your facade is looking! C U S T O M. C O R A L. I get the impression they have different draftsmen so you may get one with his/her own way of making changes. This may be the root of my infamous "you can't have Hebel on the first floor" crisis (which was eventually resolved when we found out we could!)
