Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Arden Developments 3204May 11, 2018 9:33 pm Banyan27 We are planning to build modified Banyan27 with Arden. We had our tender appointment last weekand and it went alright. Now we need to change the bricks to Cat 2 or 3 as the actual colourof the bricks is totally different to what we we saw in the colour studio. Can I make any changes after tender?Any idea how much does it cost to upgrade the bricks? Can someone give someadviceon this please? Yes can definitely change colours post tender. Upgrade bricks for single storey (translating from our double storey) I think will be in order of $2,000-$3,500 Re: Arden Developments 3206May 11, 2018 10:21 pm Tttt Hi all, i am building the bellini royale and being my first build i am totally overwhelmed. Can anyone shed a few details on installing the electrical pit. We are building out in clyde north due to title in august. How do i go about organising and how long will this take? What step is this in the process -does it need to be completed before construction will begin? Sorry for the stupid questions Thanks You can apply for electricity pit quote and then installation via United Energy but it can take same time. This is the form https://www.unitedenergy.com.au/wp-cont ... 16-003.pdf There is a section you heed to get Arden to give info for. Once you submit it, I’d follow up to confirm they received it. We had delays with getting ours done, I found persistence paid off and many phone calls. We decided to stick with the bricks we have chosen as we are currently way too over our budet. And our land titles are bit delayed which again willcost us in penalty. I don’t think (outside of this weird period of choosing colours for our own property) I’ve ever looked at a house and not liked it on account of its bricks spend your money where it will really impact your enjoyment and use of your property - a brick is a brick xx Re: Arden Developments 3208May 16, 2018 8:39 pm laaa @Tttt electrical pit was done with origin energy if i remember correctly. took about a month? and yes it needs to be done before construction so the builders can get their energy source. good luck with your build! Hey, what is an electrical pit? Do I need to organize this myself or do Arden do it? Re: Arden Developments 3209May 16, 2018 9:55 pm ardenPointCoook it's an underground electrical pit. it's where your builders will get their electricity from. arden dont do it. you gotta apply for it and it takes about a month and costs ab out $4k Re: Arden Developments 3210May 16, 2018 10:23 pm ArdenPointCoook laaa @Tttt electrical pit was done with origin energy if i remember correctly. took about a month? and yes it needs to be done before construction so the builders can get their energy source. good luck with your build! I’m building in new estate and did not have to bother with anything Thanks pEast. I hadn’t heard anything about it. We are in a new estate. Glad to hear we don’t have to hand over another 4K. That isn’t in our budget. Re: Arden Developments 3212May 17, 2018 11:51 am I assume the 4K for KDR is where you are having the electricity moved from pole to new pit? I only ask as we are doing a KDR, but in an area where there is already underground power. So i assume they will just tap a new line (after demo) from where they abolished it in the first place?!?! Sounds right, you could call United Energy to clarify. We had to pay but that’s because it’s still power poles on our street so we paid to get pit installed. Whilst we are on the electricity pit topic can I please ask did UE take max 20 business days for the abolishment ... what about Multinet (gas) do they also take the maximum 20 day’s or longer ?
