Maybe just arrange a walk through, and raise your concerns on the spot like you just saw them for the first time, hehe. Yeah I was thinking that but the earliest hubby can get time off is next week. SM mentioned the plan was to do the gyprock this week so I'm afraid next week might be too late Re: Our new family home Metricon Metro 32 QLD 282Dec 06, 2016 11:03 am So we tried approaching SM regarding our concerns about the water damage. We started off by asking if there was anything damaged by the recent storm, to which he replied no. We then pressed on and said we could see from the side of the house that the wood is damp and if it was going to rot and cause any problems. He said the frames are water resistant and won't rot. All along we're very cautious about not showing him any pictures. I'm not sure what else we can do now. SM sounds really busy and we're only meeting him on site next Thursday. I'm pretty sure by then the plasterboards will be up and we won't see the damage anymore. Re: Our new family home Metricon Metro 32 QLD 283Dec 06, 2016 11:29 am Wow! your house is coming along at a cracking pace! Try not to worry about the water. The frames are rated to be external for at least 3 months from memory so I think it's fine. It looks worse than it is. Hope they get sent our way when they are done there. Re: Our new family home Metricon Metro 32 QLD 299Dec 12, 2016 9:58 pm Thanks D and bubbaganoosh! Bubbaganoosh, yeah it seems like so. The bricks look quite nice and straight (to my untrained eye at least) Keen to hear from people in the area who have got KDRB done on whom they got the build from? Looking for recommendations.
