Can you live with the tiles as they are? These things tend to go in one of two directions:
1. You get used to it and in a few months it doesn't even register on your radar anymore.
2. You obsess over it every day and come to hate the floor with the fire of a thousand suns.
I have a tendency towards the latter. Its a character flaw, I know, but there's a reason that I ask for things to be done in a certain way and it's because I want them to be done in a certain way! If you can honestly live with it, leave it as it is. But I know I most likely couldn't. Particularly if it is a pattern I'd see every day. As for the other tiles, hold out for the flax. Its what you photographed, it's what you wanted, it's what you should have installed.
navs
That's a bummer, if it's the whole floor I'd be inclined to just live with it - are they offering anything else as compensation or a sweetener for their mistakes?
I like your thinking navs. We might ask for a car.
