Re: Building Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Geelong 2370Mar 07, 2017 9:46 am Emmz70 Kylz what needs to be done before cladding starts? Also how long after bricks? Once bricks are finished you need to wait for the metal capping to be measured and fittied, ours took about 1-2 weeks after bricks finished I think? Once that is on the cladding can go up Can't believe your bricks have gone so fast!! I think They were finishing today so I'll keep an eye out for metal capping However I overlooked a sheet infill above stacked doors. Can't believe it just needs one lousy row total 7 bricks but it's not on plans I'll ask SM tomorrow at walk through. Build has ran away from us. plaster finishes 15th and cabinets will be installed same time. Might try and start putting a few things away next week I think otherwise it's going to sneak up and bite me lol Building Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Geelong 2375Mar 07, 2017 12:52 pm kylz4 Emmz70 Are you all ready Kylz for the big move Knowing you. I should probably get back onto the guys we found, it's been a while Think we are going to need a staggered retaining wall down along driveway, wonder if it would be hard to do ourselves lol Oh and we got carpet today (and plasterers came back to do porch ceiling and under stair storage bit)! Colour I love but so disappointed in the feel under foot, we should have gone another level up on the underlay and definitely should have upgraded the carpet! Oh well, we chose cat 1 as kids are still young and could stain it etc, not like it can't be upgraded later I guess!! Oh and we have a polka dot house, blue tape everywhere for fix ups before we go through next week! That must be a weight off both your shoulders! The carpet looks great! I can totally sympathise on the CAT 1 feel though, we did the same thing for the same reasons. It was the best colour match, the kids are only going to wreck it and it's one of the easier things to upgrade down the track, doesn't mean I don't regret it already though Re: Building Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Geelong 2380Mar 10, 2017 1:09 pm Huge relief!!! 7 weeks with no income and an almost full mortgage and rent was eating into our landscaping budget lol I'm sure once we are in and furniture is in place we won't notice as much how crappy the carpet is haha, as long as it looks good that's the most important thing Hi, First of all, thank you to this community for sharing your thoughts and opinions.
