Congratulations on your land. CDC should be very fast. Shazaw do you have a thread? Thanks, didn't know what CDC was so i went googling and i like the sound of it. Says generally within 7 days which is great as lake mac council is 4-6 weeks. Final colour appointment is booked in for next Thursday at 10. Which should be fairly quick as we have done it before so just need to update it all. We went with the local council which took 5 months to approved for the house and outdoor living. Our council approved with conditions, we must sort out the easement within 12 months. Now we are waiting for one of the neighbour to sign off one document ( easement plan ). Very slowly we will get there. Re: Building a Sekisui house Now Holmesville 232Dec 01, 2015 8:24 pm That is crazy, any reason why the neighbor is stalling? Surely it does not take that long to review a document. Surely it does not take that long to review a document. Oh he has sign off other documents but miss out on one paper, which we have given to him last Monday week. Not sure why he is stalling. I'm hoping to pick up by this Thursday and return that paper to our lawyer. Hopefully in the next two weeks we should have our names registered under the land title of our neighbours. Re: Building a Sekisui house Now Holmesville 234Dec 01, 2015 9:39 pm 5 months.. Argh that's longer than I think it took us! Man I hope they sign that paperwork soon. I'm happy for you that it can be CDC. I thought being in your area that you'd have a heritage precinct thing stopping you- but maybe that's West Wallsend only? Re: Building a Sekisui house Now Holmesville 236Dec 01, 2015 9:47 pm The 149 showed no heritage concerns, but was expecting there to be some as other newly built houses in our street required a facade like yours cat with cladding. I am thinking because we don't have street frontage it is not a concern. There's a new one past the pub toward the corner of holmesville that's all clad. It's gorgeous, so much character So excellent you didn't have it though. It was a real pain the *** Re: Building a Sekisui house Now Holmesville 238Dec 01, 2015 10:28 pm Picking colours is hard enough without adding cladding. Did your 149 certificate show heritage requirements? Haven't heard from our customer support officer yet, hoping that we here from her soon. Its been 2 weeks since we have signed contracts, was hoping something would be done before christmas.
