He has done a great job so far! Still love the tile choices luckily. What is everyone's opinion on mitred edges? We decided to pay the builder cash to get them done as we only included a couple initially.. It was hard handing over the cash for it haha but I'm sure it will be worth it!? Can't wait to see what it looks like with the plastic removed. The cut out area I between the cabinets will have a stool and be a makeup area. And mitred edging is a must. It looks unfinished without it. I'm surprised builders don't just do it all mitred as standard! Where are you getting mitred edges? Can be very sharp. It's mainly just around the window frames and also the nib walls in the shower recesses, plus a fair few wall joins in the ensuite. So should all be fine besides that one corner on the shower nib wall in the bathroom.. May have to be cautious around that one. Everytime I go to see our build - your trades are still there! Have you got an estimated PCI date yet? It's looking so good! I haven't checked out the progress this week yet but I popped in on Saturday and he had pretty much finished the ensuite, so main floor tiling should be starting this week I think! Our tiler is so nice and is going to do the full height tiling in the ensuite toilet after handover (wish we just did it initially to save the hassle but ah well). Luckily European Ceramics had the same tile/batch in stock so I bought those on the weekend. Died transporting them from my car, they are so heavy! Haha No PCI date yet but it's still looking like it will be mid April. So excited! How is everything going with your build? Have they completed the white set yet? Can't wait to see finished photos. Haha, I can imagine! It would have taken a few trips back and fourth. Mid April - that's next month!? How exciting. The last few months seem to have flown by. Not sure about our white-set. Heading to the house tonight to check it out. They were supposed to be fixing the aircon location early this week too, so hopefully that has been done.
