Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 24Dec 13, 2013 2:37 am I might as well share our plans for our kitchen. We did some upgrades and changes to the standard spec which included: - Overhead cupboards (handless) with paneling to ceiling - 12x pot drawers instead of cupboards next to UBO, plus one drawer under - Shelf above fridge - Moved fridge tap to above fridge height - Adjusted width of DW recess to 600mm for semi-integrated DW - Bin drawer added - Upgraded to laminate pantry with adjustable shelves - Contrasting laminate panel pantry (cost extra for different colour laminate) - Upgraded to all Polytec Sheen panels - Undermount sink - 40mm Essastone bench tops with waterfall slab end (New Crystal Salt - builders range) - Cavity sliding door between the kitchen and laundry We would have loved a glass splash back but was beyond what we could afford, instead we chose some nice 600x200mm? rectified tiles BUILDER SUMMIT HOMES | DESIGN THE MONACO 248 » Our Build Thread Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 25Dec 13, 2013 10:47 am *drooling* how much does the 40mm stone with waterfall ends cost you? Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 26Dec 13, 2013 11:32 am janicec *drooling* how much does the 40mm stone with waterfall ends cost you? It was $1,048 for the slab end, not really sure if it's quite pricey or not but it was one of the last things we optioned in as we could stretch our budget a little for this since we didn't go ahead with a glass splash back. Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 27Dec 13, 2013 1:06 pm that's reasonable, I'd go for it too! we've got a ridiculous figure from our builder, and that's just for 20mm :/ I just take it they don't want to do that for us. And i think it's different too as we have two ends Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 28Dec 14, 2013 12:32 pm Something to consider if you are set on glass splashback if you change your canopy rangehood for a slide out rangehood.. Glass splashback cost halves because with a canopy you have to pay for the full piece of glass ( including the part you don't need behind overhead cupboards) Our original quote was $3500-$4500 for splashback ($400 upgrade to change rangehood) splashback is now $1500-$1800 We have two splashback one in kitchen and one in scullery This is what we did Old plan with the canopy rangehood Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ New plan with the slide out rangehood Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 29Dec 14, 2013 8:30 pm Love your kitchen!! Just re-read what you where asking Janicec, oops you were asking about the entire bench tops, what I mentioned before was the cost of slab end only. Initially when we asked for stone benches at PPA, we got quoted $3,100 for 2x 3.7m benches with 250mm overhang for breakfast bar. At pre start the quote to upgrade to 40mm was $650 so we did it BUILDER SUMMIT HOMES | DESIGN THE MONACO 248 » Our Build Thread Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 32Dec 15, 2013 12:48 pm butterbing Something to consider if you are set on glass splashback if you change your canopy rangehood for a slide out rangehood.. At this stage, we'll be charged a variation fee to change anything now. BUILDER SUMMIT HOMES | DESIGN THE MONACO 248 » Our Build Thread Re: Building with Summit Homes, Corimbia Estate Landsdale 33Dec 15, 2013 1:27 pm that's still pretty good pixel, our builder quoted us $2400 for 2x 20mm slab ends. We thought we can get that and glass splash back done few years down the track easily. Would be good we have endless money Your kitchen will look amazing even without glass, I especially love how the freezer and fridge are tucked away neatly behind a wall do you have pics of your tiles? Thanks Fmac, Never really considered doing anything like that, we modelled the look of the our pantry to similar to the Monaco display home. Hoping our colour schemes work out though as our pantry has a contrasting laminate colour, looking though the colours online again looks quite different to the actual colour swatch samples picked up at the tiling place...
