Had a quick sticky beak up closer at render today. Looks good and good paint job too! Or are they on schedule? Re: Building Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Geelong 1943Nov 15, 2016 3:57 pm Thanks Emmz, yes very happy with the render finish! As for inside, they won't do inside til fully sealed and we have a lot of broken roof tiles that can't be fixed until scaffold comes down. Most of the delay was bricks and a few weeks waiting for the metal capping that goes over the top of the bricks before cladding goes on. Inspector has to come back and recheck all our inside issues before plaster can start so can't see it starting for another two weeks or so! Oh and hubby lost his job this morning, contractor with one week pay That's a real bummer about your hubby Kylz. No doubt he'll get another one soon Hope they make a move on your house and fix these and your inspector doesn't find anymore issues. I'm dying to see your interior and see some of those gorgeous choices you selected Re: Building Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Geelong 1957Nov 18, 2016 6:59 pm Thanks guys, he has a couple of possibilities that could get him through to January, that would at least get us to a better time of year for job hunting and give him time to get his resume out to a few places. Got message today from build advocate that they can do our balustrade to first floor now, not sure why, she thinks maybe because she told him we were considering requesting a new site manager. $2299, what do you think? Also told us that he won't give a date for reinspection until roof tiles have been fixed, that's booked for Monday so surely he could have said anytime after Monday!!!
