The one with the vintage sheet music in it was only $14 from Target! 2 others came from Freedom, one from Provincial Home Living, one from Bed Bath N Table and one more from Target several years ago. Love them, and I don't think 7 is enough, either!! Not looking forward to the reply from Council. Their limit is 1.2m for fence height, but that would look pathetic with the double storey portico. That, and the 1.8 brick fence next door are our only reasons we can use with the council...so we'll see how it goes. Thanks for the prayers, Dee, I might need it..... Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... Life kinda got in the way....as it always does!! Anyway, I hosted a Hollywood style party for my 40th and went all out with decorating the place! It was great fun, and everyone had a ball!! Yes, the floors have little stilletto imprints in the family room....but it's a house to be lived in, not a didsplay home. Here's a small taste... I hired a 10m red carpet runner for the hall, and added a $20 IKEA curtain at the end tied up with gold ribbon, The door was covered in stars including 1 large one on the opening door (not visible) that said "VIP'S": Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I had to take my inspiration from the famous Hollywood sign for the front... (yep, still no landscaping or front fence...) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ My cake (proably should add this to the cake thread later...) They are Oak cross back chairs with a rattan seat, in true French Prov style...love them! Just have to wait until November for the matching table.... ...there'll be a few more pics on the blog in the coming days...still have to get over the party... Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... They were probably my third choice of dining chairs. Because I neded 8, their price was much more reasonable than over $400 EACH for the ones I really liked....but I still love these and they go with the rest of my decor! Thanks Mclaren! Carpet had to go back, but I still have the curtains up....I'll take them down eventually! MrsChatz Oh wow, what a great party set up! Happy birthday, welcome to the 40s... Thanks Mrs Chatz! Most were dressed as movie stars, characters or red carpet, I think there was one or two who weren't, so that was a HUGE effort!! There were 4 'Audrey's' a.k.a "Breakfast at Tiffany's", a ghostbuster (hubby!), Wolverine, GaGa, Beyonce, Hogwarts people, a couple of cowboys, and lots of glamour (and false eyelashes!!!).
