Great choice on final design of the IT nook.
Good progress on the pantry. I bet you're busting to get that done.

It'll look great once it's done. What a good idea for the IT nook. Oh, and congrats on your new baby niece! Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1446Apr 15, 2014 12:24 pm formica are being a pain in the arse...need to re select colours for our study nook and laundry! First the charred oak gloss was not available so we re selected cuban wood gloss. The mist grey gloss which we already have in our kitchen was discontinued for a bit then back but now it's gone again. ..ughhhh! I think the cuban wood for top and bottom might be a bit much though with such light walls! Nothing about doing these cabinets after handover has been easy :p never again! Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1447Apr 15, 2014 12:35 pm Well that sucks. I think gloss white would be lovely for both areas (but I've got a bit of a "white" thing at the moment). Your kitchen is your feature - but I don't think a study nook and laundry need to be a feature. Will keep them looking timeless too and you can add colour with books, etc. ps. I just had another look at your kitchen and the wood look cupboards up the top with white down the bottom looks so very classy. Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1448Apr 15, 2014 12:50 pm I'd love to put white in and that would of been my choice if we chose cuban wood initially as well but the mist grey was selected to match the charred oak ....Unfortunately the laundry is right next to the kitchen and I think it will look odd mixing the mist grey and white. The kitchen will just look dirty Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1449Apr 15, 2014 12:54 pm Oh is that mist grey at the bottom in the kitchen? Sorry looked like white on my screen. Well it looks fantastic. Does laminex have a similar product to formica's mist grey? Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1451Apr 15, 2014 5:37 pm Yeah id email email Laminex and ask for similar colour (when I order formica and Laminex samples they get sent in same envelope from same place) so I reckon they would know Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1452Apr 16, 2014 1:08 pm Well nothing seems to match the mist grey...even the cabinet lady looked for me! Sooooo it's cuban wood gloss for everything we are getting done except the dishwasher panel which is now brushed aluminium. We have never seen the cuban wood in a large sample so fingers crossed lol Been looking at sheer curtains for our living and dining area. Got quotes of 3000 and 4500....hahaha no chance! The cat will destroy them so ended up at freedom. 25% off and they let me take the display home to pick the colour I want hehe so will end up 250ish plus tracks. much better if the cat thinks they are her newest form of entertainment...which the samples were! Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1453Apr 16, 2014 1:15 pm Well that's a huge difference! It's always satisfying to find great bargains and save thousands in the process! I think the cuban wood gloss will look very classy. I look forward to seeing the pics. Re: Redink Homes - NOR - xxkatxx's build - IT nook design id 1455Apr 16, 2014 1:27 pm Well there is a big difference in quality and custom vs pre made! Will only take a little bit of altering to get them to length I want I just couldn't justify spending so much on something that will get destroyed!
