Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in the Vermont Estate at Pitt Town? 1021Sep 01, 2014 11:10 pm Hi Carla, definitely save heaps of money by doing a bayonet then changing later and so much easier than drilling all the holes after handover! Nothing wrong with a good 'ol oyster either and the lights are pretty good too hehe, love the fan and light idea, there's so many to choose from these days it's endless. I wanted to have them in the bedrooms but they installed the aircon vents right in the middle where the fan would've went! I still wouldn't mind a big one over the master bed like we have in the alfresco...now that would top the Bali theme off quite nicely. I bet you can't wait for October hey! Not long now x Re: Anyone building in the Vermont Estate at Pitt Town? 1022Sep 01, 2014 11:12 pm Woohoo, that's exciting Mag I bet your heaps ecstatic x Re: Anyone building in the Vermont Estate at Pitt Town? 1024Sep 04, 2014 12:16 am Thanks guys. We had settlement today and we have our keys! So excited! Eden Brae have been great, especially the construction process... only about 4 months from slab to done. Paul our site supervisor has been so good making sure things moved along well and to standard. Took the kids for a picnic dinner on the floor tonight before the big move on the weekend. Now the rest of the fun jobs begin One of those is internet connection... Has anyone connected to NBN yet? Any RSP's to recommend. Seriously thinking about iiNet. Congrats on your settlement. All the best with your move. Re: Internet, I've yet to organize it. I might go with Optus as they'll transfer my previous account. Unfortunately, I can't see signatures on the app I use for accessing the forum. Re: Anyone building in the Vermont Estate at Pitt Town? 1027Sep 04, 2014 7:10 am Congratulations Brian, wow 4 months to build a house that's incredible. Good luck with the move on the weekend...enjoy! As for NBN, we had no choice other than to go with Telstra who were the only ones out here/ Glad to see that now we have a few more choices. I say go with who ever gives you the best overall deal and negotiate big time. Michelle Re: Anyone building in the Vermont Estate at Pitt Town? 1028Sep 04, 2014 8:51 am O_Jay Thanks guys. What's the roughly price for new land in Pitt town for 550sq m block Re: Anyone building in the Vermont Estate at Pitt Town? 1032Sep 06, 2014 8:06 am Hi Victoria, The latest release for the Vermont Estate was 'The Meadows' and the blocks there started at just over $430k for a 550m2 and just over $490k for a 768m2 block, as far as I am aware, all blocks have been sold but if your interested in still purchasing out here, I'd speak to someone in the main office on Bootles Lane as you never know your luck. Good luck Michelle Re: Anyone building in the Vermont Estate at Pitt Town? 1033Sep 06, 2014 8:25 am I think I saw a couple of private sales while driving around last week in Fernville. Might be worth going for a drive. The next realese are blocks in Bona Vista ranging from I think 800sqm to 1200sqm Mark 650sqm on Moorhen St...Wisdom Serenity 28 Ext Re: Anyone building in the Vermont Estate at Pitt Town? 1034Sep 08, 2014 10:49 am Hi all, Victoria, I think there were a couple of private sales taking place, think they're asking around $440K for a block. For internet, we went with Optus, as we had our previous contract with them, and installation worked great, you really get to sense the improvement in speed and service compared to our previous conection. Jorge Re: Anyone building in the Vermont Estate at Pitt Town? 1035Sep 10, 2014 12:41 pm I ended up going with iiNet. Great service and prices. Very happy so far. So it appears there is an outage today with the recycled water. I got an SMS today and here is what is currently on the Pitt Town Water website: Quote: This is an update about an interruption to the supply of refined water to your home. At 11am today we had an outage caused by 3rd party civil contractors hitting a network main line, which has affected your supply of refined water. Refined water is tapped to your washing machine, toilets and for your irrigation. We immediately dispatched a service technician to restore the service and we will advise you about when we expect refined water to be available again. Your drinking water supply is unaffected. If you have any concerns or questions about this interruption, please call 1800 803 803. We apologise for any inconvenience. Fernville - Stage 3, Pitt Town. For those of you who are yet to move into your new home or are only in the process of getting started, here is a snippet of our story. You can pick up a copy of 'More Times' by visiting the Vermont sales office on Bootles Lane. I just want to start building, but are awaiting the land registration (any time in the next couple of weeks). At least the fences are down and the land has passed through council. Now just for the lands office to register the land. I have had some progress with my builders (wisdom) with my plans back and contract signing is next up. Then I begin the appointment phase:-) Re: Anyone building in the Vermont Estate at Pitt Town? 1038Sep 23, 2014 5:23 pm Cag, They did our bore testing and contour surveys on Saturday. We are at the same point as you waiting on revised plans and contract signing. Steve (the guy at Wisdom I am currently dealing with) said reports should be back this week...hopefully. It is getting exciting. Carla Re: Anyone building in the Vermont Estate at Pitt Town? 1040Sep 23, 2014 10:12 pm Carla and Mark, it's looking like everything's going well for the both of you and shouldn't be too much longer before you will be building. Mark it was very exciting to finally see the article the other day, tho the pictures don't do it anywhere near the justice it deserves lol but we're happy none the less. 2 4269 A lot of those Covenants are put in place at the time the Developers are still involved and marketing a certain look and they get ignored or expire after a time.
