Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 09, 2008 6:49 pm Hi everyone,
I'm a long time lurker, first time poster I've been following the site for quite some time now, and whilst I've read quite a few threads on Adenbrook, I'd love to hear from those who have now completed their builds with Adenbrook & how they found the entire experience (good, bad, etc). I'm currently half-way through my build phase & I've had a less than desirable experience ever since I signed my contract. It's needed me to be pendantic in the details to fix up everyone as things progressed (eg. drafting details, pricing, construction issues, etc). So far this has ensured issues have been rectified as things have gone along. But I feel that a lot of what has happened could easily be overseen or not noticed by those who don't go through the details with a fine tooth comb. One of my concerns is timing - i.e. I'm finding it difficult to picture the house being completed by the contract date - my gut instincts tell me things are well behind schedule. I'm not too sure what info should / should not be posted (I don't want to slander anyone or anything), but would love to hear others experiences. Having said that, if at the end of the day, the house is completed on time & the quality is up to expectations, I will be happy with the experience. Will have to see how things pan out I guess. I apologise for any confusion, but your understanding is correct. We approached our situation differently based on advice from… 11 54467 Hey Mate, I faced the same issue that you are facing. My builder left my house incomplete after going through liquidation. In… 1 21978 So it seems like they just take on a lot of projects to get the cashflow for their own builds.
