But when there's a two/three way switch i.e. for the stairs, if you turn on from one switch, the led switches off just on that switch, and if you turn off at the other switch the blue led doesn't keep up on the first one! Help!! How should this work? Have my sparkies just taken a short cut? This will drive me crazy!!! Build thread: http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78995 Yeah unfortunately that's a limitation with the backlit LED for 2-way and 3-way . We were told of this at our electrical appointment. You will get use to it ..... No. how can this be! Thanks for the update Orpheus we weren't told at electrical and I'd started reading up on clipsal website. From there it seems that it was possible to sort this out.... Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Metricon Glendale 37+ 474Jun 03, 2017 10:14 am Ring Clipsal customer service and ask them if they have an official way of doing it... It can be done by linking all of the backlight LEDs to the same circuit... Doesn't take much modification of the switch to do it, but does need an extra wire between the switches to achieve the outcome you want... I did it at our last house, works as you described Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Re: Metricon Glendale 37+ 475Jun 03, 2017 11:43 am NRyde Glendale37+ So after yet another week of poor communication and fairly poor progress, had the AM call me and gave it to him with both barrels. To his credit he didn't try and defend Metricon or argue back (he didn't have a leg to stand on) and took on board my calls outs (or so he's said, we wait to see if anything actually changes as we try and move forward) Last week we were told "everything apart from re-doing the brick work, and replacing the pantry window will be done by Thursday". Since then no updates, and until Friday, not very much done on site at all. AM has finally come back with a nonminal compensation amount, which wouldn't even cover M's standing admin fee! He's been told to have another think. But we now have fully connected power! Wow the place looks so different with lights on! M have also started to work on the paint finishes. We've finally been given a sample of the replacement door handles. Not the finish we want, which will need to change but I think we can live with them. Hoping that next week M will really power through and fix up the 168 issues/repairs and outstanding issues and we can finally love where we "will" live. Build thread: http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78995 Nah, I made it up on the fly, and never thought to take pics when I did it... The install manual for them is found in the first link if you google "clipsal saturn zen 2 way wiring" I didn't go it this way, as they were the original version of the switches so a little bit different - I actually pulled the whole switch apart and wired up the LEDs in parallel... Looking at the instructions, it doesn't say if they work the way you want them to if you follow their instructions or not, but a good sparky should be able to make anything work within reason Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Re: Metricon Glendale 37+ 480Jun 15, 2017 1:32 pm Had a site visit with CM. interesting meeting as we saw a reasonable amount of progress but still so much to do. Just getting the feeling that M are pushing ahead with what they can do now in order to pass their QA tick box to then push us into handover. E.g I called out the lights setting and it was "yeah I noticed that wasn't working...." ok mate when will it get done? We now feel that trying to call out every issue on every email exchange is silly - how do you call out 150+ issues? We're meant to have chippy in to do the doors this week and brickies in next week. Shutter and curtain got installed (yes sheer satin curtains installed in rooms with plastering and painting outstanding!) I've pressed M to let our landscapers on site from next week and looking to get Optus, Foxtel and tv hooked up before presentation. If anyone has any tips or things to watch out for on this front do let me know. Better 1/2 has some pictures which we'll try and share soon.
