The cracks are in the vicinity of 4mm, caused by heaving, and originate from the corners of windows and door frames. Obviously an obligatory patch job seems insufficient to us, wondering if there are any set rules or standards that dictate when the removal of a wall sheet is required. Locate and repair root cause of structural problem, eg, Settlement, vibration,expansion, stress failure, out of plane cracking... 2. Remove plaster board. 3. Repair or replace defective structural element/piece, corner window Frame/Wall may need stiffening, bracing, fixing. 4.
