I want to use the garage roof as a balcony but this balcony level is ~480mm above the first floor level so I'm going to need a small flight of stairs to get up there. I have been looking at https://ncc.abcb.gov.au/editions/2019-a ... 1-stairway but it doesn't include my exact scenario where I have 3 winders to get to up the balcony. The first blue winder is at the same level as the first floor level. It might be compliant as the door opens inwards. Winders are really a last resort I think. Can you put the steps in the patio area , it would encroach in the garage ceiling but not be too ugly, otherwise can the stairs be on the other side of the door?, in the house, both would be more common and work better, good luck Re: Stairs without landing 3Jul 23, 2022 9:02 am Pulse That is an unusual design, ...
