We built a retaining wall and hired a licensed plumber to install the agi pipes.
We’ve recently discovered that he did a poor job and that the agi pipes slope in the wrong direction causing water to flow away from the outlet.
It’s an L shaped retaining wall 19m x 19m. He has only provided one outlet per wall, so each 19m wall is serviced by only one outlet. He did provide some inspection points - but only one drainage point.
I believe by law there was supposed to be more draining points?
So really the agi pipe is useless as water flows in the wrong direction.
I’ve had a falling out with the plumber over his attitude over other work, so I know he won’t be willing to correct this mistakes especially since the walls 1.4m high and back filled with scoria.
What course of action can I take against him to have this fixed?
I’ve called the VBA but because of COVID19 their offices are closed and correspondence is only via email and they don’t reply.
I need to get this fixed.
I’m wondering if we could dig under the retaining wall from the front and connect additional outlets.
Thanks.
