Hi all,

thought I would just introduce myself. I'm Ainslee and my boyfriend and I are building in a new estate in the Geelong area. It's our first home. We're doing it through a house and land package. Soho 2600 through Burbank. We finally just signed on house plans (after signing contract in March last year). So things hopefully will start moving quickly soon.

As it is our first house, it has been stressful, but also fun. Think we've pretty much bought everything but the furniture (we've been told to order that 8 weeks before we move in). I keep thinking is there something I should be doing to make us more prepared for the move. We're both still living at home at the moment.

Would love any tips if anyone can think of any that we might not have.

Thanks heaps, Ainslee

Ok, here our our colour specs etc :) (excuse the lack of caps am feeling a tad lazy this morning ;))

Brick - Austral - Symmetry Tan
Mortar - rolled - natural
Roof tiles - monier - madison - soho night

(that's just a rough idea of the exterior)

As for the interior, we have gone for the Espresso colour board with Burbank.

ceilings and walls all white canvas - taubmans - except for 2 feature walls Sheer Hose and Zelda
carpet - mystic court warmstone
holland blinds - focus blockout - cotton (not sure how effective they will be in blocking out light of a night, but we will see.

wall tiles - kitchen - cream gloss and a feature strip of jerusalem gray

bathroom - fidama mocha and same to ensuite and laundry

our floor tiles will also be fidama mocha

lots of other little bits but you get the general gist of it :)
