I look at the plans and structural details and if it complies with the building code (BCA) I'll issue a CDC and you take that to the Council to get a Building Permit. Re: Hello Everyone - Building Surveyor from Perth 6Jun 20, 2013 2:51 am Thankyou. Do you have any mates that would be able to do a final building inspection? I just need the expertise of someone whos in the Industry to determine the quality of my builders work. Last place I built cost me $2500 to sort out wiring issues before I could sell it and the naughty chaps never put the insulation out. It was in packets in the roof. I guess It would be structual (as far as whats visible) and finish and workmanship (against an accepted commercial standard) I'm not a tight-wad...............would appreciate a written report and my Location is Northam 75Kms from Midland. I'd recommend that first off you see if you can find an old builder or building inspector (less qualified) up your way or in kal though who advertises to do inspection reports. Maybe check a few local papers? Make sure you sort this out as there is a limit to the time you can make a claim. Once you know what you want done, go to the building commissions website. They have a pro-forma to complete (send them and the builder a copy outlining what works you want done). They have a set time to respond, after this you can lodge the next form with the building commission and have them investigate. They will send there own inspector out. If you need anymore help let me know. Re: Hello Everyone - Building Surveyor from Perth 8Jun 20, 2013 1:15 pm Thankyou James.
