Renea,
I'll have a look tonight see if there is anything that I can suggest.
For those who are not aware.
The coffin positon is known as sleeping with your feet facing the door.
Try it sometime.
Move your bedroom around and have the foot of your bed facing the doorway and tell me if you notice anythig different after a few nights.
Sure some of us think this stuff is hocus pocus, others do not.
Does that mean it does not work?
That is totally up to you to decide.
This is what I’m aware of:
1. Since the earth’s magnetic forces go through North – South, it might be better to sleep in East-West direction. This is according to Hindu Feng Shui.
2. Make sure that you always lock the front door when you go to sleep! It may protect you from evil intruders (just kidding... even though it's true ).

I had to give advice to a client quite a few years ago all related to Feng Shui, that’s the only way she lived!!!
I bought a beautiful expensive book on the subject, since it seemed to be so IN at the time, got all involved while doing the colour consulting!!
Had a dabble myself in my own home for a short while…..but honesty….
I JUST DON’T GET IT!
I know this is how the Chinees live, and they seem such happy little people, and I have to say my client was high on ……??????air, I think, she was always laughing and joking, So there must be something in it.
But after being anal about how my home is decorated, cleaned, landscaped, I just don’t have any more time or energy to ALL the other stuff.
Let me know how you get out of the coffin position….(almost sounds rude!!!! ) with the placement of your bed, I think this SHOULD have been though of at plan stage.
I can’t see too many options for you.
Good luck !!

Also depends your kua number Devank.
Feng shui also needs allowances for southern hemisphere changes, which many of the practicioners forget or get mixed up with.
If you actually find a spot and direction that your really happy in and THEN you look at what your numbers and directions room layout are - I find that this is when you really start to see how the synergy of this stuff fits.
It's very subtle stuff and is very easy to get wrong - and I'm no expert, but having read about it and working on understanding it at a very basic level for the past 12 months - both physically evaluating the energies and how a room etc is laid out - I'm learning.
I agree that sounds like a whole load of hoo haa - and your welcome to your own thoughts. but.... do this
Think of a natural feeling place that really feels nice and makes you totally relaxed and in the zone - I mean really connected and not just thinking your connected.
Then note it's layout
Then refer that back to a good feng shui guide.
You might be surprised at what you see.
For instance.
In a HT/TV room a good layout would be to have the seats against the back wall, the door where people entering can be seen and ideally some other connections to nature, the fire, a window outside etc in your view.
This is known as a control position. ie someone cannot stab you from behind (or the mind does not feel it can happen) plus you can then view the various items in front of you as you please and you are in control. Remotes help too
The same applies to bedroom, study rooms, etc layout.
Just leave out the remote
Read and learn before you mock.
(There's one hell of a lot chinese who have been doing it for an awful long time for them all to be doing it wrong) !!!
My auntie (self appointed feng shui and mystic guru ) once told me that bedrooms shouldnt have too much iron or mirrors in them (particularly mirrors that reflect the body sleeping), that when sleeping we should lie in line with the natural energy of the earth (meridien = north - south), avoid sleeping near electrical current, and take note of the Feng Shui methodology you are using. There is a theory out there that states the southern hemisphere should use a different Feng Shui paradigm to the northern hemi.
Just to confuse matters even more .
Most bedrooms are set up with the foot of the bed facing the door I would think.
I think Steve is right .. over theyears I've had to move our bed around several times until I found a better sleeping spot. There is certainly something in the energy stuff that works for me - just not sure how far I would take it.
If you are worried about the coffin position put a large mirror, picture or dream catcher above your bed head. I would imagine that would deflect any negative energy roaming about the house. If worse comes to worse the various methodologies can fight it out while you catch some shut eye.
My husband tells me that his parents hung crystal pyramids over his bedhead ... until a wire broke and a crystal fell on his head while he was sleeping. Not so lucky for him!
Whatever theory you are using ... it is important that it works for you.
After all ... our beliefs shape our reality (oh oh I think I just had a mystic moment )
