Hello,
We have bubble glass everywhere in our post war house. The configuration in our bedroom and lounge is three lots of three panes, so we have three vertical Windows that you push out to open, with three panes in each. We are planning a significant Reno. In the future, so just want to update these as cheaply as possible for now to get rid of the bubble. We would like to remove the wood bars that divide it into three and insert one clear vertical pane glass is this possible? The cost would be of the three vertical rectangle panes replacing the 9 square bubble glassed panes.
I also wondered if there is any market to sell these windows complete with frames as I know some people are very keen on this bubble glass. If there is a market for this what price would they fetch and what would a new Windows cost, vertical to replace the window and frames.
Any suggestions welcome.
Note In 5 years we are raising and renovating so would potentially completely change the Windows, so at this stage we are looking just to replace bubble and put curtains as its too claustrophobic and sterile with bubble everywhere.
Thank you.
