Hi,can anyone tell me how to safely remove dried paint splatter from new window frames without scratching them? Have googled but couldn't find an answer,I'm guessing maybe a solvent like turps or similar? Thanks.

If the paint is a plastic paint, it might rub off with a rag with methylated spirits on it. That would need a had rub.

It's likely water based paint on powdercoat... I think abrasion is likely to give the best outcome (as above)... So I would try a pressure washer.

But I have also discovered that paint stripper does not work on powdercoat so a small dab on the paint spatter with a cotton bud should work... BUT PLEASE TRY IT SOMEWHERE THAT DOESN"T MATTER FIRST AND WASH IT OFF AFTER (bare aluminium will be fine if that happens, just make sure your test spot is out of sight)!

Safe options:
- Car cleaning soap and water with microfibre rag
- Orange oil with microfibre rag
- As above then with non scratch pad
- Car bug and tar remover with microfibre rag
- Car clay bar

Risky options:
- Graffiti remover
- Turps, acetone, petrol
- Pressure cleaner
