Just out of interest if you don't upgrade your window glass thickness or double glaze what is the standard thickness that builders use or window companies supply?

it depends on wind rating, fire rating, actual size of glass, class of building, (basix probably as well!) etc.

the min. rated according to the BCA was 3mm ordinary annealed glass, and then running up from there.

do a google search for bca 2011 3.6.0 glazing or ring your local glazier and confirm with them.

cheers :)
