hi all

has anyone had any experience with these double glazed modular windows which you can get through Bunnings and get an immediate on line quote for?

http://www.polarwindows.com.au/aboutus.asp

it seems good at first glance but they only have three colours which I am not thrilled about.

any thoughts??

They only have about 3 sizes that you buy and then you purchse the hardware to join them together to make bigger sizes. You also buy the reveal adaptors and the subsill separately - all up they are about twice the price of any reasonable window - and they perform very badly in WERS.

Then there's the flyscreen .... hmmm...

They came to us first over a year ago, then we heard no more, I wonder how they came up with the name EcoView?

The whole system is patented - they may as well have patented a chocolate teapot... :D

There are actually 5 sizes that link together. Of these 4 can be selected as opennable and orientated any which way up. Sure you are limited to 3 colours but that is the limitation of the system. Wont suit everyone. Over 1000 variations are possible.

All windows are double glazed and are Grade A toughened safety glass standard. They are N3 and can be used in commercial applications.

WERS gives us a 5 star rating so not sure about what Ed is going on about.

Build your window on line and get an instant quote.

AWA membership and Bunnings standing behind you and i feel you cant go wrong.

That's the same question I asked them when I saw them at the Home Show.
