Hi there, long time lurker, first time poster
I have a double bay window in my home. Its our meals area, that we once had a small 4 seater round table in. I have since gotten rid of it (after 5yrs) and really prefer the open space. It looks out into our backyard and having 2 young boys who love the outdoors, i'd like an area for me to sit and supervise aswell as relax (or be in the kitchen cooking and cleaning) The windows currently have verticals and im not really looking to change that any time soon.
I have been asking my hubby to build me a window seat for some time. He's not a carpenter (a control system engineer infact) but he's pretty handy (built our timber pergola) and he has finally given me the ok.
I want to be storage aswell, and have flip top lids and have some cushions for comfort and softness.
Now, im not sure if its a large/difficult job. Im not sure what i want it to look like. Im not sure about alot of things, just that i want a window seat LOL
Here are some pics to help you get the idea of the space and its surronds.
The christmas tree no longer resides there
